Hehe, no that's not Mr. Tumnus from 'The Cronicals of Narnia'. It is, however, a faun. :3 I looked up the race after buying the DVD of TCoN, and after many pages, found quite a love for them. X3 I wanna play a faun in an rp some time.
I've traditionally seen fauns playing pan flutes, and I was in a musicy mood, so I drew one doing just that. It was amazing how quickly I finished it. I sketched it one day, inked the next, then colored it all in two days after that. It's a real rare thing in my book. XD I did a sort of green outline, but felt creative (and somewhat lazy), so I didn't have it go all the way around. I might just extend it all the way around later. I'm not quite sure if it was one of my more brilliant ideas.
While writing this thing, I actually realized I had forgotten to draw horns on this guy. They have very small horns, but they do have 'em, and I forgot to draw 'em! T-T Poor faun... he probably got them cut off by poachers or something. But anyway, enjoy!

A faun character eh? That sounds pretty cool, I think you should go for it. I love to see people playing rather, unpopular or not as well known races in RPs such as that medusa in Crimson Chains. I'd love to see a faun. For some reason a court jester in a forest kingdom came to mind... :B
He's adorable! I like the little expression and I envy you for going out of your way to bring some attention to the poor nearly abandoned fauns. I'd be scared to draw one. Wings and ears are about as far as I go with animal features o_o;

Court jester would be more suited to satyrs, another goat-man race that fauns are often confused with. Fauns aren't very charismatic, or so I've read. XD They only really act like themselves around their own race. Plus, the satyrs quite often irritated everyone with their messing around, giving fauns a bad reputation, which makes things even worse.
I did a lot of lookin' up stuff. XD
I really should make a faun character, shouldn't I? x3 I think I might take advantage of the horn-less thing and say some cruel humans came along and cut them off. XD Poor guy, I'm already torturing 'im!
