Description I keep on talking about Shape shifters, and the Trilogy, but I've only talked about the Faunduin Tribe (the Shifters are bound to animals), from which both Kage and Hedran come from, and I've briefly mentioned the third (unnamed at the moment), from which the royal family comes, but I haven't even breathed a word of the Floranin Tribe, in which the Shifters are bound to plants.

These Shape shifters are often very soft spoken and work more for a balance with nature than the other two. While the Chief of the Faunduin Tribe is set in the Drakuri family, the Chief of the Floranin Tribe is set in the Morfiranu family. They are bound to the Morfwyn tree, a relative of the present day Redwood, but many times greater, said to have been encouraged in growth by Earth Faeries and other unknown creatures wandering about. They are said to be several dragonlengths (for lack of any other measurement, lol) wide, and stretch up to such great heights that there was a legend that if a young Shifter was able to climb up to the upmost branches without the aid of his Shifting abilities, he'd be touched by the Heavens and grow wings. The capital city of Floranin is mostly built within the hollow remains of one of these trees, carved and treated over many of generations to form the great sight that it is.

But, anywayz, I'm rambling. This guy up here is part of the Salimali family, whom are bound to the willow trees. Those bound to trees are essentially nobles, so he's pretty up there, I guess. I'm very fond of the hair and anatomy (See the ribs? Seeeeeee?), but I don't think I his arm, which has turned into a branch, looks very willow-y. Ah, well.

The other thing I'm not too happy with is his expression. Looks a little like he's been sniffing too many sharpie fumes, no? D:

Other than that, I'm quite happy. I used my supersupersuper fine pen for this entire thing, since I had been neglecting it for a while. The tips a bit crooked, now, but it was pressure sensitive. *o* Ooooooooh.

But, anyway, I'm on ther verge of a ramble. Enjoy!

Hedran, Kage, and the entire ramble about Shifters are (c) Just because I spent enough time and braincells thinking this all up. XP

Hehehe, I like it!
You kind of stole my comment, though...
"Dude, I'm like, a tree! Woah!!"
Anyway, everything looks really nice. I do see his ribs... and I am forever changed. o_O
Sorry, really hyper!
I would suggest maybe making the branches a little thinner, and decreasing how much they taper toward the end.
Who am I to say, you're way better at drawing than I am...
And more creative, it seems. NICE back story with this.

Lyke woah... leaves! X3

Indeed he does have that happy "Wheeelalala" type of expression. If he was sniffing sharpies then I gues it's not that bad when he looks so nonchantly and aloof. :3

Yey for anatomy! I'm impressed, really I am. It's amazing how much your art style has changed in a short amount of time. Heck, you're beginning to exceed me when it comes to hair... and numerous other features. I'll have to attempt to add some more curl to Raos' hair. It's prone to do that because it has that natural wave. <:
Heehee, that'd be so pwetty. <3

Squee, I'm getting woozy on sleep meds so I'll wrap this up!

You have to take sleep meds? :<

Anyway, even though you may think that I'm exeeding you in some areas, but you're exeeding me in others. Pretty much everything Photoshop. I don't feel as computer savy as I used to, lol!

Well it's just that I'm extremely lazy with colored pencils. It's much easier to correct mistakes and get richer colors. Also I like to experiment with certain colors before I using them. I have to go through the extra effort of making photocopies of the line art when I use colored pencils to make sure it looks right. Using Photoshop is easier and at the same time it can be a bit tricky. Sometimes it's much easier to do things without a tablet... like inking wings and coloring narrow long shapes. *is reminded of the hell she went through inking Raos' wing and coloring it* ><;

Sleep meds? Nah, just something like Excedrin PM to make me drowsy enough that I don't stay up till 3am. It's like safety bumpers at the bowling alley... only not. :B
