AT-ED: All-Terrain Exploration Droid (Robot)

The AT-ED: All-Terrain Exploration Droid (Robot), was the Galactic Empire's only attempt to make a robot walker to scout out new worlds, for the empire to conquer and invade. In 9 BBY, imperials wanted to explore more of the outside worlds of the Outer Rim Territories, and so one imperial by the name of Admiral Gordon Manfresdf decided to do something about this. He gathered a small task force, to give them the mission to build the very ultimate imperial invention, that would save imperial lives and expand the borders for all areas of the Galactic Empire. It took just three weeks before the task force came back with the AT-ED: All-Terrain Exploration Droid (Robot), and even though it looked way smaller than what Admiral Gordon Manfresdf had on mind, he said 'Ah, a robot brain for this walker instead of a human pilot, this will be promising for the imperials, also, small, simple, but deadly.'. 'We decided that a robot would be perfect, as the imperial way of life hates robots and prefers humans, and we're sure that The Emperor would approve of this.' spoke one engineer, before a technician added 'We don't aim to replace humans, but enforce all our human soldiers, whilst still making the humans look more important than robots.', and then Admiral Gordon Manfresdf replied with 'I am impressed with your way of thinking, the imperial way of life always could use with more enthusiastic loyal patriotism, let's see if this is what The Emperor really wants.'. At a testing area on the planet Edan I, one AT-ED managed to locate and identify several locations of minerals and other mineable materials, whilst taking care of old reprogrammed imperial B1 Battle Droids (Robots). Despite the test looking a tad easy, Emperor Darth Sidious/Sheev Palpatine/The Emperor was impressed at how this easy but deadly robot, actually helped the imperial way of life discover new elements to boost the Galactic Empire. 'This is underrated, but I can accept this robot as an easy means to save human and clone lives, and you have done well Admiral Gordon Manfresdf.' started Darth Sidious, before Admiral Gordon Manfresdf replied with 'I know it is not what you expected Your Dearest Divine Entity Highness Mighty God, but this is just a simple step out of many steps to something better, like a revolutionary new wave of imperial forces that will make humans great again for all time.', and then Darth Sidious then said 'Very well, your entire task force is promoted to Imperial Advanced Task Force (IATF), and you are Rear Admiral Gordon Manfresdf, keep it up, and you might even impress me more.'. By the time of 2 BBY, over one hundred million AT-EDs were produced, and were spread out around all sections of the Outer Rim Territories, as well as some areas in the Unknown Regions, Wild Space, and the Forgotten Area (a made up OC name by me). However, problems with the AT-EDs had risen up before that time, with very rude and downright controversial attitudes, glitches in the mainframe systems, and tons of breakdown instances which cost a lot of credits to fix. By the time of the Battle of Yavin 4 in 0 BBY, the AT-ED was looking very unpopular with the imperials and had to be cut back, due to the massive loss from the destruction of the Death Star I. Seeing a bleak future for the robot, Rear Admiral Gordon Manfresdf and his advanced task force had to seek every desperate measure to salvage the reputation of the robot, but the problems still persisted despite a few problems being sorted. Then the ap-2 TIE Exploration Tank by Moff Kohl Seerdon in 0 ABY doomed the AT-ED to a bad end, and before the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the All-Terrain Exploration Droid (Robot) was phased out completely with factories no longer building the robot, humiliating Rear Admiral Gordon Manfresdf and his advanced task force, also, the Viper Probot was also making the AT-ED look like garbage. After the Battle of Endor, Rear Admiral Gordon Manfresdf and his advanced task force took a large collection of 100,000 thousand AT-EDs and fled the Star Wars Galaxy in his Star Destroyer: Storm, before ending up in the middle of nowhere, and far from any galaxy around for millions of light years and miles around. There is still yet to be some more info, but the imperial archives are slow at updating so expect updates, but in the far future in about ten years or so (but only in the Star Wars Legends and/or Infinities universes ).

Also, Rear Admiral is a higher rank than the Admiral Rank, as well as a Two Star Admiral Rank, which is true in the Navy of most countries including the UK and US, so this will apply to the Galactic Imperial Navy.

I would love to see this robot in a future Star Wars movie and/or tv show.
