Description
Look any where in any source book, and the FIRST thing it says about RPing a drow, is that they HAVE NO SENCE OF HUMOR. None, ZIP, Zero! They don't know what jokes are, let alone how to tell one...
you want to die... make a drow joke.
^.^
of course Taz was under a cloak when said joke was being told... LOL

I don't agree that drow don't know humor. Stabbing your "best friend" in the back. Defeating a lesser house without warning. Killing your unsuspecting brother/sister to advance. These thing are VERY humerous to the drow. *Smirk*

Nyaha! I could never RP one then X3 I laugh at almost everything ( if there's actually some humor to it, of course o_o;; ) I'd be more inclined to hug one than make jokes though. Either way aiming for death Speaking of which... << >>

Hehe, good pic, it's well drawn (and funny too).
I really like the spider web print on the trim of the Drow's jacket, and his little spider friend on his shoulder. Both are really nice touches.

Easy. Johnny Treatseed disavowed his heritage, both human and elven, for reasons he chooses not to go into. If asked whether or not he's part elven, he'll deny it. If indirectly asked about elves he'll generally reply. His ultimate goal is to become a personification of nature much like his mentor/care taker, the Old Man of the Woods, a local legend back in Johnny's homeland.

Ah that is Johnny Treantseed. Our resident Snark fest. He is a half elf ranger that denounces his elvin half and claims to be full human. He thinks all elves are fopps, and his comments twords Taz more often then not include the phrase. "foppin elf" (usually implying a swear work also starting with "f" )
THe guy in the back is Finiris, our Lawful Good Paladin. He rescued Taz from the soldiers chasing him after he fled from his home. Of course poor young Taz is the equivilent of a 15 year old, so he was horrified when his house was attacked and distroyed. As the only survivor he fled, but his houses distroyers persued, trying to kill off all the nobels in the house. (no witnesses)
well as Finiris and Johnny (grudgingly) came to his aid while searching for their lost friend in the underdark, Taz (Vier'taz Lylyl of the 4th house) had to accept their aid.
later Taz was shown the goodness and wonders of Moridin, and denounced Lolth. He now serves the dwarven god, But is really still a drow at heart.
(Our D&D games are more often then not comedic as well as epic.)

No no no no. You've got it backwards. Fenris was accompanying JOHNNY, not the other way around. After one of his animal companions was slain outside of combat by some sort of explosion, Johnny charged madly into the cave opening in search of the cause. No one else cared about the fate of a mere forest creature so Fenris alone, because as a Paladin he pretty much HAD too, followed him. Johnny stumbled upon (literally) both the entrance to the Underdark and its guardian, a many tentacled worm like creature, shortly there after. The noise attracted Taz' attention and led him and his companions from the Underdark, where they joined forces against the creature.

*snickers* I could just picture him walking up to the people telling the joke and saying something like "Vith dos, rivven!!" And then start kicking ass...
My drow tend to have senses of humor... but then again... I chat RP... so things are a bit different. My drow characters tend to have sick, twisted, dark, disturbing senses of humor... Course my drow have usually also been topside for one reason or another long enough to gain a sense of humor.
Like Lost... or rather Akai'zhar (I named him that before I got ahold of a list of Drow names)... anyway.. he GOES by Lost, and he's... well... in my little world even the other Drow were afraid of him... He's a freak... 6ft 8inches tall.. completely white... being that he's an albino. He's got some weird powers drow really shouldn't have... 500 years topside hasn't done much for his.. disposition. I play him in the modern world. In the modern world he's a drug addict and a hacker... Well... a drug addict/hacker/murderer/rapist/sorcerer... He's spent a lot of time... learning different forms of magic and stuff... I'll admit that he's a bit of a god character... but he prefers to rip people apart manually rather than resorting to spells and stuff... more fun that way. He's got a lot of power but he rarely uses it. Like I said... he prefers to rip people apart with his bare hands if he can... or totally screw them by making their computers crash... hehe.

I taught meself drow. Though I can never find any websites or books that will tell you how to actually pronounce the words... I'd prefer to find a website... typically cheaper that way. I'm multilingual... hehe... I speak English (of course), Latin, a very very small amount of French, Drow, and some Quenya... not much though... I know more French... hehe
The only websites I've found that even HINT at how to pronounce the Drow language just say that several of the consonants are always silent... so it almost gives the illusion that the Drow are always whispering at each other... a sibilant, musical, menacing, eerie, hissing, whisper..... *melts into goo just thinking about it*

did I mention Human flavored Tofu?
It might be an easy alternative for days when there are no customers?
also Human Tofu is good because:
1) If you play with your food, will you go blind?
2) Normal people will wash their hands before eating food. Now you'll
have to wash your food's hands before eating.
3) "Getting a hot piece of ass" will now be done at Thanksgiving
instead of New Year's Eve.
4) Which would be grosser? Eating French food or Eating the French?
5) I think it would be ironic if you made a Pita Sandwich out of a
member of PETA.
Just some random thoughts

Because Drow are short. And so are dwarves. *slightly off kilter logic* Lost ain't never gonna let Tebryn hear the end of how short he is.....when he's average height for a drow. But then Lost is a freak of nature. Oh, what? Comment on the picture? Oh, right!!
Hee hee, I think the spider's a cute touch. Oooocoochie-woochie!! And your talent with color and scenery never fails to amaze me.

He's got a pot on his head because he's Johnny TREANTseed. Kinda like Johnny Appleseed from American folklore. His caretaker had become something other than human by the time Johnny was old enough to set out from home and was a bit confused as to what to give a prospective adventurer. "Here kid. It's....ummmm....magic armor." "Reeeally. I've seen you cook in that." "Don't you sass ME boy!"
Johnny Treatseed disavowed his heritage, both human and elven, for reasons he chooses not to go into. If asked whether or not he's part elven, he'll deny it. If indirectly asked about elves he'll generally reply. He's a half elf half human ranger who thinks he's a full human, raised by strange cicumstances.... He's our party's Snarky bastard. He deny's that he's half elf, and hates all elves in general.
Also you should note, Taz doesn't speak common well... he thinks BAR meant Long pole or thick rod, Not Tavern.

My drow's sense of humour tends to be perverse too. She likes to play with her prey before she kills them, coming onto them and getting them all fired up and then BAM dead as a doornail. She-drow are such charming creatures
