Yeah!  He's never annoying.  I love how he actually has other qualities, like he gets jealous and annoyed and proud, not just cheerful perfect all the time.  I love how he has that dream to be an ace, but it's sorta squashed right away haha!  At least with how the team's set up right now.  I love this show.

Sometimes I like cheerful characters like that because they're earnest and sincere (like Gon from HunterXHunter or Hinata), but oftentimes those characters can be loud and stupid (...Naruto T_T).
This show is refreshing cus it's slice of life with no dumb drama... just fun character stuff and competition/growth.
