Photoshop CS2Done for CGTalk contest. Had to take a plate of a museum and turn into a natural setting so I chose a cavern/cave type thing. Hope you like it!
Holy crud, I've never been featured so a big thanks to Deviant for it! I've never seen so many messages! Thanks to all the nice things said too. The museum was a plate provided of the Natural History Museum of London for those who were wondering.

Wow. There are so many stories waiting for the viewer here, just by looking at it.
This blows me away.

Beautifull light and textures. When I was looking at the small version, it looked like a forest or cavern, and I was quite surprised when I realised there was a man-mad structure underneath. A really nice blend of the two.

I wondered if any other comment is necessary here. I won't repeat all these 'marvelous', 'wow', 'cool' etc. It's a really very good piece of work. But as usual, I'm always picking holes in good stuff. I took a closer look at the details and noticed a huge amount of the colourful dots. They look flat. Wouldn't it be better to shade them a bit to give them 3D appearance. And the flowers: I'd put some more natural looking ones.
I hope you won't hate me for my critique. I'm not perfect myself.

looks like something that would've been in this book i read once. Road to something or other. It takes place in the future where these buildings and cars are all rusted and what not, and we're back to living by candle light and stuff.

This is amazing. I love fantasy-looking pictures. Such a sense of make-believe as if it's a new world altogether. There's an incredible amount of detail in this painting as well. Really love it. thanks for posting.
