You're absolutely right. I always try to mention the artist/artwork that has influenced or inspired me. 

If you check my deviations there's always a link reference with a description.

Here I had a problem with this drawing. I did it many years ago (I believe at least 16 years ago). That time I had no info about the picture... and as a teenager, I was only concerned about doing a nice drawing. I tried to find this original art later in the web, but I didn't succeed.

Because of your question, I'm presuming you have recognized the artwork and you might know the artist. I'd be very thankful if you could give me a clue.

That illustration was done by the Hilderbrandt brothers, I'm not sure if was done by the two of them or just one.

Re-reading my comment it was a bit more harsh that it should be, I'm sorry for that. 

The gambit image is also from the Hilderbrandt brothers. I suppose you took the references from  the same Marvel Masterpieces card series that I also had

Oh, c'mon! There's no need to be sorry. I felt curious and checked my drawing. It was done in 1995 ( I was 19!! ).

The power of the right word.... I just typed "Hildebrandt" and "Marvel" and Google so promptly did the rest of the job... piece of cake.
