Description
So this is the Alien half of the scratchboard/scraperboard finished. This half is 12" x 18".I've started sketching in the details on the Predator half of the board that you can't see here, but you'll see it soon enough
It's quite fun to work with, this scraperboard stuff. Feels a bit odd though, taking the surface off instead of adding to it.

thanks!
well the board is black so it already is the background....the stuff I've used is scraperboard which is indian ink painted over chalkboard and you 'draw' on it by scraping the surface layer with a tool that looks a little like a fountain pen nib

Cool! The soft, smoothness of the frontal "dome" looks great, and I like the tension and texture in the mouth--they always like to play that part of the creature up in all the movies.
