Description
Uploading so I can use it as a thumbnail in Talen's reference sheet deviation. Background color chosen because it matches my site, though I changed it to blue for the feature in Talen's art folder .
The funky little gold thing is his right hand, since the shadow spear materializes from the tattoo/scar on his right palm. It grows outward, expanding to either side equally until fully formed, and its cyan cracks brighten as its shape hardens. If solidified in his grasp, additional navy-black smoke and neon blue sparks can coil around it as if charged by the contact with its owner. The moment he wishes it gone, the whole thing becomes intangible and quickly fades into nonexistence, ready to be summoned again when needed. Though he can throw it and use it like any normal spear, it won't last long if handed to someone else or left alone and stationary. Only one spear can exist at a time.
Since this was a weird hybrid of pixel art and digital painting, I'm throwing it into mixed media.
