Information: Another piece completed and uploaded for commissioned artists to reference! I recently made one here but wanted to make a standing version so his equipment would be more visible. Although I planned on actually doing this piece farther into the future, I did it now to restore and boost art muse to better tackle a complicated commission. At least, uh, that was the original intention. I got a bit... carried away... or a lot of carried away. I wound up spending an absurd amount of days on it, oftentimes for the entire day, and obsessing over every single detail. I actually feel sad uploading this because it means it's officially over--I've enjoyed it so much, I didn't want it to end, which might be a first for me! Luckily, even if I did get swept up in it, the purpose was served and my muse is thriving! Of course, the muse is for Talen-specific art, outfit designing, roleplaying, and working on my site... but hey. It's something.

I know he's a thief and it doesn't really make sense for him to have this clustered getup (geez would it be noisy in our world) but he lives in Alcryst, so we're going to pretend all the materials are woven with muting spellwork. Also, fun game, count the amount of throwing knives Ruanly felt the need to stuff in there! xD More comprehensive information about his weapons and appearance details can be found in his reference sheet below.

Sadly I couldn't get his wings nor his shadow spear into this piece but everything else is present. If anyone has suggestions for other weapons, accessories, or outfits I could use for him, let me know! I'm always looking for ideas!

By the way, the silver french fry looking sticks in his chest pocket are lock picks. This also officially wins "most photoshop layers" yet! I use A LOT of layers, I'd say a hesitant average of 500 for manips maybe, and this whopper topped out at over 1,100. Oops?

To artists referencing this for a commission I ordered: The placement and appearance of the weapons should be accurately followed whenever possible. The accessories (belts, straps, packs, etc.) do not have to be, as this is just one of many ways Talen might equip his effects. For example, you'll notice this reference has more throwing knives and vials than his crouched one, and the sheaths attaching them to his arm and leg are different. This is also a rather fully-stocked look; he would often be less cluttered in a more casual setting.

Credits: While I utilized stock and textures, most of this hand-painted and almost all of the accessories were done without any type of reference or other aid.
