I wanted to do a human pagedoll and I've been revving to do a picture of Verthandi and Talen together, so this just happened and was a wonderful way to spend my day! This demonstrates their (future) relationship perfectly. He has the role of guardian, protector, and she has a position similar to a... pet sorta? She is very primal, more animal than human, and she has this softness that you might call shy but no one would ever call this vicious, strong creature shy. Without speaking a word, she knows his needs and attends to them, and without a whisper he watches over her.

I tried to be simple with the clothing and equipment and focus more on the pair and symbolism this time. I hope it paid off!
EDIT: I decided to add a background because it really shows the details, like his eye glow and all the sword stars. The normal transparent version is below:
