Why do I get the feeling that this faction created a "xenoforming" for lack of a better word process in order to, in this case literally, decolonize the galaxy of human oppresses in the name of xeno life everywhere that dindu nuffin?

How about this: the Solarian Community openly killing its elderly citizens, as they consider conservatism to be related to old age?

I could see them doing a Soylent Green thing.

Question; All the empires and civilizations in Space Cadet are either extremely radical or practice genocide regularly, or both. Aren't there any like... hopeful... moderate civilizations? Like in Warhammer 40k, it's a grim and dark future, where aliens are goin' extinct left and right, and there's constant war, and yet there's the Tau, just off in a random corner of the galaxy, basically establishing one of the best places you can live in the entire known galaxy, especially if you were unfortunate enough to not be born a human.

The Empire and the Federation are rather moderate.

Is that due administrative difficulties, or just the fact they've had more experience ruling over a diverse population?

With the Empire being feudal in nature, you'd think the Federation would have overtaken them scientifically.

No, because scientific development is strictly monitored in all major societies.

What I mean is that generally feudal-based societies, historically on Earth at least, had trouble advancing technologically and socially.

Yes, I'm aware. In this case, technological stagnation is enforced.

What can you tell us about their culture?

For a certain definition of Justice. But hey, these guys... not really all that bad! Of course, they've got some flaws, like *cough*prettymuchwhatwehavetoday*cough*- Or maybe that's just because they haven't gotten their Big Text Update yet.

Dear God, it's worse than even Roddenberry on steroids. An immediate end to all life on Earth would even be better than a slow, horrific death something like this would bring.

Ehh... I'd prefer living as a low-level Solarian to living as a low-level Imperial.

How dystopian are they going to be compared to the other Empires in space cadets so far?

Based on comments form O'Mally's other posts, it's a pseudo-utopian dystopia. It's a socially and environmentally enlightened, politically correct paradise supported on the backs of an enslaved lower class that's invisible to the elite that enjoys this egalitarian eden.

Are they just going to be an average society with benefits and disadvantages like the Empire, Federation, or Consortium, ect. or are they going to be outright dystopian?
