Description
The Unity-class drone is the primary anti-drone intercepter in the Federation Star Fleet. One of the most ubiquitous spacecraft in the galaxy, it is estimated that hundreds of billions of these drones have been manufactured, both by the Federation and unlicensed factories around the galaxy. A fast, dependable, and - most importantly - cheap drone, the Unity is a staple of the Star Fleet and one of its most enduring symbols.

The Unity's design is simple: it is a reactor with phasers and engines attached to it. Photon torpedoes can be added under the wings of the drone, if extra firepower is needed. The Unity lacks an onboard warp drive, and must be ferried to its location by a mothership; most Federation vessels have a wing of Unity drones to distract enemies or explore planetary atmospheres without sending a boarding party. Because they are designed to be disposable, the Unity drone has no onboard shields. Like its rival, the Imperial Tesh-wing fighter, the Unity has no life support system. It is instead operated by its mothership's onboard computer. By interstellar law, if the mothership is destroyed, all drones under its command are deactivated; independent drone intelligence is strictly forbidden.
