Nope, it's not even his game. He created the Mario series but he is not the owner of the copyright (otherwise they wouldn't have never created the Super Mario Land series). He has no legal right to force them or pressure them to make it different from the original style in any way but they respect him too much and are too afraid to go against him so they let him get away with whatever he wants. His design philosophies when it comes to story and character and world building is objectively wrong.ο»Ώ
But I'm confident that Paper Mario will continue to have fun gameplay whatever direction it goes next, but if the characters are just standard Mario characters it will still feel like a SMB game rather than a Paper Mario game.

Don't you find it ironic that a modern Sonic game is more well received than a modern Mario game?

No we didn't just see "the first stage". We saw the first world, which is a great chunk of the game. And Mario games that go by Worlds, no matter what genre or what developer, NEVER change into something completely different beyond the first world. They will do this idiocy in every world because that's how damn predictable this formula is. After all, Sticker Star did it, and this game is having a fantastic time checking off everything that made Sticker Star an abomination.
I mean, go right ahead and continue clinging onto the false hope a game planned for an October 2016 release can change every little thing around, but all you'll be doing is feeding Nintendo's bank for the wrong reason when your time could've been spent playing older generations of hardware for the real Paper Mario games.

3. I do agree with some of your stuff with (Stock Turtle Villain) being the antagonist, If Nintendo wanted a paper theme, then why not have the villain be a oversized pair of scissors.

I also just want to say, On the subject of our "helpers". Huey is a clone of Kersti... Whom Kersti was a clone of Starlow (and I GUESS you could argue too that she was kind of a clone of Tippi to an extent.) I just want to ask, What's the point?
And at least Starlow had a second reappearance in Dream Team and has pretty much made her a mainstay by the seems of it. Why do one-off clones who are even less likable need to exist then? I doubt we're even going to see Kersti or Huey again in future games. Why bother, Nintendo? Why even freakin' bother? :/
And of course I know Starlow gets quite some hate online but I thought she was alright in my book... More helpful then Kersti will be anyway. Even if constant Tutorials can get annoying to one, They are kind of nessisary especially to new players.

Starlow isn't a bad character by any means. I do believe she has overstayed her welcome, however, and has been oddly mean-spirited towards Luigi in the 3DS installments. She's still written way better than Kersti and possibly Huey though.

Suggestion: "Paper Mario Sticker Star is a bad game... And here's why." ...No seriously, that needs to exist.
This game is truly gut wrenching as now Mario, the last of the 4 big mascots (Mega Man, Pac-Man and Sonic) has fallen victim to an Imfamous Dark Age. Not just Paper Mario mind you; but Mario as a whole. It's what I call "NSMB" syndrome.

Well you have to keep in mind that the game started development Imidiatly after Sticker Star was finished and they already put too much work into the game to scrap it and start over. Β So what game developer do you think Nintendo should hire to make the next Paper Mario game?

There are still signs of Mario goodness to be had. Super Mario 3D World and Mario Maker, which both came out after the NSMB installments on Wii U, showed there's still plenty of fun and variety to be had.

Ok, but why are they still continuing it even though a lot of people didn't like the trailer or the E3 gameplay for CS? They should have known by now that SS was a terrible addition to the Paper Mario series and the changes they made in that game was a big mistake.

Well, considering the October 7th release date, and March announcement, there is no time for them to head back and think things through. Even then, they are still hellbent on keeping what's wrong, as they intend for future titles to be just like Sticker Star
