I have but one question, how do u put an animation on a single frame?
If someone helps me by answering that one question, I can make my friend the platfor game he's been tellin me to make.

create a movie clip and then put animation inside it.

actually, ive fixed that but the problem is that when i copy the ground object, it is no longer solid when the player lands on it, as if the code does not apply to it
how do i fix this?

you can't copy ground objects. you go inside the movie clip and edit it as such

One question, I wanted to make the different coins worth different values so I did this:
onClipEvent (load) {
this.swapDepths(_root.getNextHighestDepth());
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (_root.fly.hitTest(this)) {
_root.score=+4500;
this.removeMovieClip();
}
}
So now the score says "4,500"
But now lets say I get a 3,000 coin.

My score now says "3000"

You should have +=3000. you can change it so you get 1, 2, 5, 100 etc. etc.

i just have one question tho, which regestration point do i choose as my player keeps slipping through the far edges of the ground?

such a good idea. I love this LOL... some things are a bit hard for me to understand cuz i'm very new at flash but i've faved this cuz i love it so much. So much better than those tutorials with HUGEEE slabs of text grr.

The player actionscript doesn't work, when i press A it disappears, when I press W it jumps and turns into a stick and when I press D it doesn't move

that happened to me. to solve it get the latest version of flash (CS3+)

You probably copied it incorrectly and didn't set up the frames right.

Yea I did the frames right and I selected "Select All" then "Copy" so no i didn't copy it wrong

I did too! on that was after they talk about coins right!?!(^-^) and on the wall far from the left of that and that thing with three coins on it and the wall at the third drop...there's too many!!!
