Description This is my second try at drawing a flower. I think that this one turned out much better than the first one. The coloring was rather difficult to do, since I hand-pixeled the gradients. Most of my other art has hand-pixeled gradients as well, so I don't know why this one seemed to much more difficult.

Yeah, it's definitely better than the first version. Looks nice. I just think it would look better without the gradient in the lower part.

I agree about the gradient. The flower is really a transparent PNG, so the stem fades out to the current background color. It looks nice on a white background, but the grey background here at DeviantArt spoils it.

Well, I'm viewing DA on a white background anyway and I still think it looks odd.
