meet Lydia

Basis: GWR 4900 hall class.

Info/Personality: Lydia is a kind hearted and optimistic engine who is happy to make friends despite her tendency to stutter badly at inappropriate moments. She is the older sister of Amber and very protective of her. Lydia doesn't mind pulling goods trains or double heading them with her sister Amber. But she prefers coaches as she doesn't have to bump them like trucks, She says she doesn't have it in her nature to bump trucks as she really doesn't want to hurt them but she's no push over. Unlike her sister, Lydia actually friends with some Diesel engines including the ones on the railway she and Amber currently run on. she dose tolerate her sister's antics but will get mad if she plays keep away with other engine's trains. She also Likes adventure and sometimes howling at the moon with Amber .

History/ info: Before she and Amber came to that branch line they worked on the GWR railway, Amber was the youngest out of her siblings, Lydia had taken a liking to Amber and decided to look after her, so she was like big sister to the young wolfengine, both age and care wise. One of the things she did was when Amber was being harassed by another engine after she had wrecked some well wagons, Lydia raced over and went buffer to buffer with that engine and told him to leave her sister alone or he would regret it and said how he was a horrible engine. when she and Amber were transported to that branch line they handled both passenger and goods trains. When they were with drawn and decided to runway from scrap she had Amber's back and comforted her weather it be being chased by diesels or hiding from people wanting them to be scraped. Even when thing seemed grim. When they were restored she asked for her original livery.

When She originally came to the bluebell she like Amber had a hatred for Diesels but soon grew to likeing them after one of the Diesels that were preserved which was a 08 class shunter saved her after breaking down leading to Lydia getting stuck on a stretch of track that was on a hill, the ground was unstable and if she had stayed she and her passengers would have plummeted down the hill. After that she had started to open up twords diesels and had tried to get Amber to do the same, but easier said then done even after they went to Ireland where they'er railway is. Of course Amber would see how she was wrong about diesels when she took a train to another railway in Britain. Lydia and Amber have also met they'er brother Olton hall's fame in hollywood .

In the thomas and Friends series she is an engine who meets and joins Amber on her little adventure and even helps her out, and would also come to sodor with her.
