Description
Turn up your speakers, this one talks! This was my animation final! I'm pretty excited about it because I really felt like I hit a learning curve in my work- FINALLY. It's no secret that I struggle tremendously with animation, but I think there's some hope for me yet, at least.
This was my first time going back to FBF animation in flash after a while of working paper-pencil, and I'm really happy with how well the process went. I'm even happier that working in flash worked out because that means I can practice outside of school now, on my own.
sound clip is from Madagascar and the characters are (based off of) the birds/owls from Sleeping Beauty

The first time I heard it I could tell it was King Julian from Madagascar. This is so funny.

Sae, I know I haven't been around for a while to admire your work, but I wanna tell you, this is easily one of your best animations.
Everything is so fluid and bouncy. It has life!!!

King Julian totally fits as a nutty rambling owl.
It'd be interesting to see this cleaned up and colored some day, though it might lose it's sketchy charm.

Thank you so much XD! Yeah, it's been suggested I color this one, but honestly I think I'd rather color a more original-character based animation in the future ^^. Thank you so much for the nice comment, by the way, it's always a pleasure to hear from you ! See you around school!

Hey there! I used Flash CS4 to make this. If you have any more questions please let me know!

thanks! I was originally hoping that this was digicel flipbook, because I have an animation, specifically an animation piece dedicated to , and was trying to find ways to upload it

Ha ha. I love that line from Madagascar. And I like the owl's final movement when his head turns up-side down. So perfect.

You should definitely keep trucking with traditional animation; you've obviously got the drawing skillz and a knack for animating, and it just looks so much better than slidey Flash stuff (I mean, slidey animation has its place, but its place is not imitating traditional animation, that's for sure). I'm pretty sure someone said it already, but this would be fantastic as a future animation experiment: [link]
By the way, I don't know how good Flash is or isn't for traditional frame by frame stuff, but you might want to check out Plastic Animation Paper. It used to cost money, but they made the latest version totally free, and after having used the open-source "Pencil" for a long time, I can tell you it's a godsend for cash-strapped classical animation enthusiasts.
