Description
I haven't been able to draw anything lately, so I was flipping through my documents and realized I had a screenshot for every step of this piece (not something I do all that often), so I figured I might as well throw it all together. I don't actually use this painting technique very much, but it does have an interesting result, I think. There's also probably a million easier and faster ways to do this, but I'm Adobe illiterate for the most part, lol.The textures I used in this piece came from cgtextures.com, except for the skull photo. I was bad and pulled that off of Google image search because I had no idea where else to look for one. In retrospect I really should have just searched Devart for a stock photo.

Very nice. I'm curious -- Do you have a particular lineart method you use? Your digital lines are so crisp. You use the pen tool?

I use the hard 5 pixel airbrush for lineart. There's usually a really sketchy sketch behind the lineart layer to work from, set to a lower opacity.
