Ugh, so sorry about this. It's just that
1. I get a bit angsty if I don't make/post any art for too long. XD I get the feeling seeing the new ECHO Gaster video had a role in this (or was it zarla's Gaster doodles?), but I sat down at Sai with just the intention of doodling and this...happened.
2. I tend to be very finicky and a bit self-conscious about my art. The fact that this is left unusually rough and unrefined is sort of my way of coaxing myself to be a little less anxious about whether my art is "good enough." I still did a fair amount of touch-ups actually, mostly with the lineart, but you'll notice it's still pretty sketchy or patchy.

So yeah, as simple and rough as this, I actually kind of like how it turned out. Sometimes I swear the less invested I am in the end-result of a picture, the more content I feel with it. I also used this opportunity to try my hand at cel shading, which I think is the coolest thing out there. It's pretty simple, just a block of color to represent shadowing, and yet it still looks satisfying.

So yeah, my apologies for the "Gaster spam," but I think I needed that. I draw what makes me happy. XD I'm sure it's not the last of this kind you'll be seeing from me. X P

Oh, and as always, this highly adorable Gaster belongs to zarla 's Handplates comic series.
