Judging by the gorgeous design in this poster for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie , I can say without a doubt that the plot will center around a Sonic cosplayer who has gotten on the wrong side of the government.Okay okay, in all seriousness though, this is based off this stupid theory I have. Like everyone else who's seen the teaser posters for the movie, I can't get over the outrageous design they have for Sonic. It basically looks like a human wearing an oversized Sonic mask, and it got me to theorizing jokingly that maybe it is a human, and Sonic in the movie plot will actually turn out to just be a guy cosplaying as him. I soon got this mental image of this guy in a Sonic costume pounding awkwardly down the highway with a dramatic theatrical score in the background while tanks and helicopters chase him (allegedly, the plot description says Sonic will be running from the government), and every time I think of it I start having a laughing fit. I felt an urge to draw something for this this evening, so instead of posting something Undertale/Delatrune-related, I'm afraid you'll have to settle for this for now. Sorry. Maybe. X'D
2019 is going to be an interesting year for animated movies.
Maybe the Lego Movie 2 will be decent, but I'm afraid to hope, lol

I assume that at the very end, when the army catches up to him, Sonic will pull off his head and reveal himself to be Usain Bolt and explain that this was all just a big misunderstanding

Yep, that's right.
Well, in a way, yeah, I live on the mainland nearby where it's being filmed(some of the principle photography was being done here, but it was probably scenes involving special effects, so those would be done on a sound stage or closed street).

Well, I am kinda curious(shame it doesn't actually take place here though), the last time there was something Sonic related that involved where I live, they actually got some stuff wrong XD (I know that's saying a lot given that there's a lot of creative liberties taken, but what I mostly think of is that I believe they put a well known local landmark on the wrong side of an establishing shot).

No, but I did watch the cut-scenes of it with my siblings some years back. It was the one with that big chaos monster and Big the Cat trying to find Froggy, right? And yeah, didn't the boss battle take place in Station Square?

Yeah, that's the one, and yep, one boss battle sure took place there, I think it was one of the ones from early in the game.
