What can I say?I was tempted to commission !DracheaRannak to draw me a new sailor generator base and just do the coding and somebody else had the same idea! Now I'm just floored by the beauty of this generator. I wish I knew how to program in flash... Seems so much more elegant!
My first reaction was: Wow, no need for me to update SailorXv2 anymore... But then I realized that this generator is missing quite a few options that SailorXv2 has (and vice versa) so I suppose SailorXv2 is not obsolete yet.
But looking at these beautiful graphics makes me want to start from scratch again... My art has improved so much again since I started SailorXv2 that I'm beginning to see lots of flaws...
EDIT [April 2013] I have decided that I will move on to SailorXv3. Not any time soon so hold your questions, but especially with the new anime coming soon I will certainly enjoy it. And I hope to be starting a programming course soon so the next SailorX release will be exactly what I want it to be! Multiple poses and expressions, princess gowns and most of all better artwork!

I would love to see a new Senshi gen out from you, but I would also like to see the current gen finished as well. You can always work on both at the same time since you said that the coding isn't going to be hard and you can always copy it to the new gen.

Heh, it's not quite that simple. I'd be using a different coding "system" for the new generator and getting my head around two different ones to work on them simultaneously would be hard.
Plus, I think if I was to create SXv3 I would finish all the artwork first, and then do the coding.

You do have a point there. Do what you think is best and have fun. The only problem with the flash one is that it isn't down loadable like yours it and the lack of opinions that you have to yours. The only way I can save mine is to do a screen capture like you did.

(I know it's not my place to reply, but I have a PDF-printer, meaning that if I want to print, I select my PDF-maker. That way I end up getting the image as a PDF. And PDF can be opened by Adobe Photoshop...)

yeah. If I was to switch to Flash I would make it a downloadable - if that's possible - and also of course I would never abandon the versatility. It's the key!

That is what I seem to notice about a lot of flash games, that they are not down loadable which sucks. That is why I like yours I can play it off line and still have fun with it.

I personally love both yours and dolldivine's Sailor makers for different reasons. Dolldivine's just looks cool and flashy (no pun intended). Yours has so many little special features that the DD one doesn't have: three skirt layers, more glove options, more boot options, stripes on skirts, all sorts of awesome stuff! I'd be behind you if you decided to make a v3 but even expanding on v2 would be very awesome.

What exactly is it that you like about dolldivine's generator? Not asking out of competition, just want to know what I can do to make SXv3 better, should I decide to go ahead with it.

Mostly just the fact that it was Drachea's art, and I'm a long-time watcher, but that's just me. I kinda liked the bracelets and anklets that it had; they were kinda different. Also the one-piece suits/dresses were nice. Those were pretty much the only things in particular that it had that I liked.

The hair was gorgeous, too, and cool how you could combine them. But it lacked options. I couldn't find any medium length straight hair. Everything was wavy.
but anyway, it's gorgeous for what it is which is why I am encouraged to improve SailorX.

I would start a new one, if that's what you truly want. And I love the generators. It helps me with my OC Sailormoon characters. Absolutley amazing!

I think they're both great! They both have their strengths and weaknesses, and that's why I'm going to use them both.
I personally would like to see you keep SailorX in Kiss form. I've just grown used to it that way!

I like KiSS, too but admittedly I'm liking Flash better. For new users it's so much easier! Especially with UltraKiSS no longer being a downloadable program but an online java applet thingy. I don't like that at all - luckily I still have the downloaded version if it.

You can't find the program you installed? Are you on Windows or Mac?

You should find UltraKiSS there. If not, go to [link] and install it fresh. Let me know if that works!

ok i have it but i just cant open it it keeps telling me that its not a certian type of file and it just wont open

You are opening UltrakiSS and that's when you get the error? Or do you get it when you try to open SailorXv2? Please tell me step by step, no matter how small the step.

Seriously, if you want me to take the time to help you then you need to take the time to explain in detail what's going on. When you say "it" I still don't know whether you are referring to UltraKiss or SailorXv2.

In that case I suggest uninstalling it and then going back to get the new version here . See if that works. Sorry, it works fine for me so I don't know how to help. If the problem persists I suggest you contact the programmer. There is a contact form on his links page . Hope it works out!

UltraKiSS seems to be broken. I just downloaded it and it won't open. It brings up the Kisekae UltraKiss screen with the blue embossed Sailor Moon, and then just sits there, acting like it's trying to load but not actually loading. It sucks up all my CPU usage and slows my computer down pretty bad.

Sorry, can't help you there. I recommend sending an email to the programmer describing exactly what happens and kindly asking him whether he could make the download available again... for the sake of all of us cause I hate the online java version, too!

It's a tiny bit limited, but it does have a lot of 'shine' to it. I wouldn't suggest a switch to flash exactly, but I wouldn't mind a slightly more dynamic structure or coloring scheme like this. I think the majority of the edge this one has is merely its presentation, although it does have quite a bit of options...just not quite as much as yours.
I love how very similar it looks to official art, though(and the text option they have seems to be the exact font the localized franchise here had). I think that would be the most that should be learned from this, just how much of an impact it has to look as much like the original in shading and overall appearance.
That would be a looooooooot of work, though. I'd definately get more people to help out if anything like that happened. And then maybe if enough consistant parts were created, it wouldn't be too difficult to incorporate them into the same doll-engine, but with the updated part designs...and then if that worked out and took off fine, then that'd be good, and if not, v2 would still be fine too.

What do you mean by a more dynamic coloring scheme? You mean for the surroundings? Menus etc?
I actually chose neutral colors because I didn't want the color of the menu to influence the user in any way, out of fear that a particular color would subconsciously make everyone use similar colors or at the very least avoid similar colors, just because it doesn't look right.

Oh that's fine, no, I didn't mean the menu color choices at all. (I understand what you mean though, not wanting to distract the user. To that end, their's WAS pretty distracting and a little unintuitive.)
I guess I'm mostly just saying that their cel-shading and whatnot looks a lot like it's from the official art(which who knows, maybe they vector-traced it, or just imitated it very well), which was good enough to distract from the fact that it doesn't have quiiiite as many options.
