Description So many people have asked me how to create the gradients in skirts. Others have asked for multicolored hair. So here is the tutorial to create both yourself!

I use Adobe Photoshop, but Pain Shop Pro, Gimp and others work in similar ways. As long as you have layer support this should work for you!

Hope this helps!

PS: since dA's update there is now a perfect category for all your SailorX creations:

Customization > Dolls > Tooled > Original Base

PPS: I have since researched dA's categories and apparently images created with kiSS dolls must be submitted to Scraps or stand the chance of being deleted by the dA staff. I personally don't mind you submitting elsewhere because, based on the amount of options I give you I do consider it a creative process to create these senshi. But do it at your own risk.

OMG, not only an awesomely helpful tool that I have been desiring for ages, but DA updates and ALLOWS DOLLS! Huzzah! I'm glad to know there's a place for us doll editors now. Of course, there'd be nothing to edit if it weren't for you, so thank you, as always, for all your hard work!

What do you mean? You don't know what I mean or you don't know how to use SailorXv2? Or... huh? I'll help if you tell me how!

I use Photoshop 7.0 and I tried doing the tutorial thing. Lol. I don't know what you mean with the layers and all that. I'm a noob.

Oh... well I don't have the time to teach you that. But there are various panels, probably on the right of your screen. One of them is probably the preview of your artwork. Below that might be Styles or a history and below that is usually the layer window. If you can't see it, then you can go to "Window" in the top menu, then make sure "Layers" is checked.

In the layers window itself you'll find the list of layers in your artwork. Every time you paste something it will probably be inserted on a new layer. Play around with the menu and you'll learn. Experimentation is how I learned everything. I never looked at a manual.

the checkboxes on the right are individually clickable. The box has to be checked for each item you wish to color.

I tried that and it colors everything.

You are probably only using the one at the top, right? The one that says "colorable" next to it? There are plenty more below that that can be clicked individually.

Ooh, that's an interesting idea..! I only have GIMP, so it would probably take me a lot longer to get a similar effect, but it's a good idea really.
