Description
Due to popular demands ,I decided to make a coloring tutorial .To avoid page stretch ,I used flash to make a book like tutorial .I had a lot of fun working with flash, though it was frustrating at times. I checked the tutorial 4 times ,and had 2 friends tested it /correct it for me ,so it should work smoothly .Just a Note. This tutorial is not for beginners ,it's for people with at least some understanding of how digital programs work .This tutorial is very general that means it have about a little of everything .
Tip .If you have trouble with picking colors or shading ,then you should probably try to find some good references on google (cloth ,skin ,shoes ,etc) . It helps a lot .Also picking colors comes with experience, you can't expect to learn it in one day ,again the best way to learn about the different tone combination is to find references and learn from them .
Well then, Enjoy ! If you have any questions about the tutorial , please comment here ,I'll get back to you asap : )
Tutorial made with flash 8
Programs recommended for this tutorial : Paint tool sai ,Photoshop ,opencanvas ,Painter

When beginning to cell shade, is the shading on separate layers, or the same ones?

Thank you so much for this tutorial, awesome work... I just have one question, when tool do you use for blending? I normally tend to blend stuff with the blur tool, but you didn't say what tool you used to blend with. I use Photoshop CS6. Thanks

In which program did you do your lineart? What was the brush size? Which format did you saved it? And what was the image size and resolution? Please answer

She probably did the lineart in SAI, like the rest of the picture. SAI's very useful for making lineart c: It was probably made for that anyway xD Photoshop is good too, but for thin lineart SAI is best :3 I can show you if you want to. I got sai on my PC. x3

I have SAI, but I can't draw a straight line to save my life. I would also like to know how thick should be the line (like the one in the tutorial) and what brush or pencil to use. If you can help, then thank you so much

Yuppers! I can help! ^^
Are you familiar with the special Linework layer in SAI? The curve tool, line tool, and pressure tool all become available when you make and draw in a linework layer.
c: Go ahead and have a shot with those c:<
Im also hosting a join.me in a couple of minutes ^^ I can give you a link if you want to, if you want me to actually show you how the linework layer works c:
