7: Hi?
A few days pass, and it's time to return the books Emma borrowed, and she wanders into the familiar atmosphere of the library, finding solace in the scent of old books and the soft murmur of low voices. She feels someone's gaze on her, when she turns to defend herself, a tall dark-haired boy behind her asks "Uhm… Hi, sorry if I bothered you, I wanted to ask your name"
Surprised, she replies to the boy, who was actually quite nice. She noticed his warm brown eyes and charming smile.
— Emma: And what is your name?
"I'm Alex," he replied. He was somewhat short of words but at the same time it was comforting to have him around.
— Alex: It will sound strange but, I saw you downtown the other day and now that I found you here I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometime.
Emma felt a mixture of surprise and flattery. She hadn't expected to be addressed so directly, especially after the recent turn of events with Henry and Martha. Yet there was something genuine and sincere about Alex that piqued her interest.
"Sure, I'd love to," Emma replied with a genuine smile.
Alex's face lit up with joy. "Great! Is tomorrow good for you, at noon?"
Emma thought about it for a moment before answering, maybe it was too soon and a little impulsive, but she finally accepted the date.
