Thank goodness this is a long weekend, eh? My Saturday sucked so bad I NEEDED to spend a day just having fun and talking with a friend. I got a bit of work done on this page once I got home, but I've done most of the finishing touches this morning. I didn't want to rush it just to meet my week-deadline. And Of course, I haven't even started digitally making Page 03, which has the most panels thus far. Oy...
I love the expressions in this page. Especially the bottom three panels. It's nice to be able to convey so much without dialogue sometimes.

This is SO MUCH BETTER than what we got in the game. This is more in character for Carmelita than breaking priceless artifacts that she was hired to protect just because her boyfriend is a douche.
Also, LOVE the "defiant zip". Brilliant sound effect! XD
And, as usual, the colors look great
And I agree that dialogue-free scenes are often more powerful. Mainly because it's VERY hard to craft genuinely "dramatic" dialogue without making it come across as melodramatic and/or hokey.
I look forward to the rest of it.

So far, so good. I can see it takes place during the opening act of the Ice Age in Thieves in Time...only this time, Carmelita's actually WILLING to hear Sly out! Here's hoping that the master thief can offer a reasonable explanation for faking amnesia for all this time, and that the Interpol cop can convince him that he should have known better than to lie--that it was really heartbreaking for her to find out the way she did.
