Description
The Black Racer, from the villainous Serpent Society. She is a speedster, fleet of foot. She's also one of the rare comic book characters that has been revealed to be ticklish! In one of her first appearances, she was defeated by the wannabe heroine Vegabond by tickling. That makes the Racer okay in my book

HOLY SHIT!! It's her! I knew she looked familiar, ha ha, so she is the one Vagabond defeated by tickling! Ha ha ha! I love it! I need to look her up, find out more on this character.

I seriously feel like someone needs to do something about this. A villainess was subdued by tickling and we are a community of tickle loving fools!!! Black Racer needs to be put into the spotlight.

I've been thinking: has the Black Racer ever been shown maskless? I know the green hair is a wig/part of the costume. I don't recall ever seeing her without her mask on.

I have been doing some digging, there is a time when she isn't in costume though there are multiple sources that have both her ethnicity and identity in question. Judging from that I believe she may have had more than one look beneath the mask! She is a very obscure and quite unimportant character so that doesn't really surprise me.

Well, her being ticklish (in canon), humanizes her a bit in a unique way. She joins a class with She-Hulk, Rogue, Rachel Summers and Meggan in that category, but they are all far more fleshed out than the Racer herself.
Her first name makes me think she's of central American descent, but her last name makes me think she's maybe middle eastern? She's a real question mark! I'd love to know more of her out of curiosity.

May not have seen it, but it was specifically called out, thus confirming her ticklishness. Much more than we've gotten for anyone else (with a very few exceptions).

Thanks, glad you like it! I don't recall the exact issue, but it was in Captain America, back in the days when he was "The Captain", wearing what would become the U.S. Agents costume. Long time ago!
