Hi,This is a quick tutorial on how to make a bubble brush, the techneque can be used to create other brushes as well.
you'll need at least photoshop 7

Thank you so much. I've been using a much more complicated method but now I know bubbles in Photoshop can be a lot simpler.
(I always thought they were shiny transparent spheres, getting the transparency right was always a problem).

no worries, you can also use the same technique for other shapes too, to make any brush you want

this tutorial can be used to create other brushed aswell as long as they are a black sillouet anyway

Yay!! A bubble tutorial!!! I'm having problems though: I did everything it said until I got confused at the feather part. When I pressed the feather option and press yes with a 70 pixel all set up and stuff, the little border the magic wand created just shrinks towards the center. I pressed delete, but the circle just remained black. Help please? Hope I'm not confusing you

firstly, I should really remake this tutorial 
However you should check a few things if your having problems.
- check the size of your canvas the feather option can react differently for different sized canvases, try othe values between 20 and 100 pixels
- make sure your on the correct layer if you arnt the delet button wont work because there is nothing on the layer to delete

no worries you can use the same method to create other brushes of your own too but they must be black Silhouettes. I've made around fifty of my own brushes, real helpful I go through how to save your own custom brushes so they can be transfered to other computers in another tutorial later.

Okay, so I made the circle, but when I right click, the fill path is unclickable. Help? (I'm using the CS4 version of Ps btw)

first off sorry about the spelling in the tutorial, its very old lol.
secondly, I made this tutorial for photoshop 7 and am unsure as to the differences that CS4 has to 7.
if you are using the Ellipse tool (U) to draw the circle, then using the pen tool will allow you to right click and fill the path. Afterwards, right click with the pen tool again and delete the path. MAKE SURE TO RIGHT CLICK INSIDE THE CANVAS, if you dont do this then no dropdown menu will appear.

sorry I mean to re-write this very soon you need to right click the canvas with the pen tool and select fill path.

you should press delete after doing the feather it should make a nice soft center, hope this helps
