put the background on one layer seperate from words..and just make sure that the background layer is visible in all the animation sets.....
so step 4 shows what you can see on that animation...so when you would make the next movement (or next animation) you would keep the background visible but a different letter than the last word or letter..so the background is same but the word or letter is defferent..does that make sense?

This is really helpful, but my Photoshop won't let me save it as a Gif...? Do you have an idea as to why not?

not sure if you have figured this out already but yeah I can't really say. does it not give you the option or present an error when you try to?

hey this is realyl awesome and everytihng but i was wondering if its possible to make an animation where each frame is an entire diff picture? basically like an animated picture?
some thing like this...[please wait; the program i used has really slow transitions so that's why im trying to make one in photoshop]

yes it is possible ^^
its the same process, you only make what you want in each frame visible, so when you are in frame one you only have one picture showing, then in frame two you switch to the second picture. id also suggest to keep the bg transparent if you have different sized pictures xD
if you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a note ^_^

Thank you, thank you. You really helped me. The mention of the animation tab in CS2 was particularly helpful. Others have failed to indicate that.
