The second White Portal is missing because the first one has been closed over 1000 years ago for unknown reason by the ruling secies of that time, the dracurians. Now, the dracurians are all gone and no one dares to open the gate. The dracurians have been a powerfull species, if they have closed the gate, it must have been for some good reason.

Excellent map! I like how the continent isn't rounded and has tons of islands and bays, you don't see that in every map. Also, it is very detailed and, I believe, very close to how it would have looked like in reality (I mean the placing of different biomes). Names of cities are also not generic-sounding. The only thing is, I think the north coast would be more like the coast of Norway, for example, because withdrawing ice and glaciers would have made it look more "cut-out".
