ah yes, the infamous hand. That always gives people trouble. Despite my dislike of actually drawing them, I tend to end up with fairly decent hands when I'm done. I use a circle or oval for the main base of the hand (mainly because my own hands are small and remind me of circles more than rectangles), but it tends to look ok when finished anyway. However, I may have to try the rectangle method at some point, to see how it compares with my method.
