Description Horse: SHS Imeria
Show: HARPGs Lead Mare 2013
Rider/Handler: Azsche Sterben
Number: 021
Story:

- Before the event-
The days leading up to HARPG's Lead Mare competition flew by in a frenzied hurry. Most consisted of questions like "Is the tack cleaned? Has she practiced? Who rode her? How many breaks has she had? Where is this and that?". When not practicing, being showered, or being grazed, Imeria just calmly munched her hay, the rock in a sea of chaos. Her rider was memorizing the pattern and reciting it to himself in German as he paced. {Raz just needs to calm down, I have this pattern down pat, forwards and backwards} she thought to herself. Two days before the event, Imeria was being loaded up into the racehorse style trailer as well as her tack and supplements. Azsche made sure his horse had enough hay and water before closing the door and walking to the truck..

-Leading up to the event-
Azsche set the dressage saddle and saddle pad on the tack rack near where Imeria was in cross ties. "I hate that we have to use the Preußen one" he muttered to himself as he laid the saddle pad on Imeria's back. The expensive dressage saddle and girth followed, soon after. He made sure all the braids were intact and professional before bridling her. "We can do this, Imeria. We may not have much of a shot but we have to give it our all" he said to her quietly before leading her out to the arena.

-The event-
The pair walked into the arena, saluted the judges, and started their routine. In the final leg of the test, a feeling of dread overcame Azsche. "The piaffe, we haven't practiced it" he thought to himself with shock. Imeria followed up to the movement and started the piaffe. Her first few strides weren't very professional at least until she glanced over to the mirror. A perfect reflection of her father, the great Intensity showed in the glass. The stallion didn't say anything but started the piaffe movement, executing it perfectly, and gesturing her to imitate. Imeria was soon imitating the perfect piaffe, her head carried in perfect carriage and she moved with clean and precise movements..
