Description
Dates: 5/2/20-5/25/20 (Took 3 days)Artist's Notes: I'm not really satisfied with how this one turned out. Casea was an herbivorous pelycosaur, similar to Edaphosaurus, found in the early Permian of Texas. It had some really strange proportions and which makes drawing them, especially with any kind of perspective, very difficult. Given how small this animal's head and neck were, I am not entirely sure how it would have lived as it would have to partially submerge itslef just to get a drink of water. Given the large clawed forelimbs and small chisel like head it is likely that Casea spent at least some of its time either burrowing or swimming, possibly both. I've given this one webbed feet to emphasize the possibility of a semiaquatic lifestyle, though there is no evidence for this.Β

Itβs possible but that adaptation is typically found in animals that live in very arid environments, so far as Iβve heard Casea lived in humid conditions.
