Artist's Notes: Another commission done for . This is the satyr of Great Lakes Earth. Unlike the satyr of Greek mythology, these satyr are less human and more ape or monkey and bear similarilties to our extinct relatives like Australopithecus or Paranthropus. In fact the satyr is a relative of Great Lakes Earth's sapient species, the elves, similar to how chimpanzees are our closest living relatives. It is unknown what function the horns serve but elves bear them as well. This is suppossed to resemble South American monkeys, specifically spider monkeys and "Deloy's Ape", rather than real world hominids but I'm not sure how well I illustrated that.
