Artist's notes:

Sarkastosaurus imperator “emperor flesh tearing lizard” was a true tyrant from the late Cretaceous of North America. It was first only known for its skull discovered by Eddard Dope as part of his rivalry with Charles Swamp during their great Fossil Wars. It was later found that the creature possessed no arms when the highly reduced shoulder blades were found in association with the rib cage of this great predator. Its arms were likely lost because they were no longer useful to this creature and its relatives. As its relatives became more reliant on their hypertrophied jaws for taking down prey their arms gradually withered away with each generation. In life this creature was a walking death machine capable of crushing any creature between its jaws only to be balanced by Clypeoceratops equesauratus with which it would often do battle.

Yes, I've decided to go with what I feel are the two most classic rivalries in all of paleontology Tyrannosaurus vs Triceratops and Edward Drinker Cope vs  Othniel Charles Marsh. Before anyone brings it up, I know Tyrannosaurus was not discovered as part of the Bone Wars and was actually first described by Barnum Brown, I just did this for the sake of the narrative. The concept of this creature is based on a combination of Vastatosaurus from King Kong 2005, Diablo of Primal Rage, Dougal Dixon's Gourmand, the T. rex from Jurassic Park and Albertasaurus. The terror of the prehistoric world... until it trips.

I was thinking more of a pickle like the deviljho from monster hunter but that works too.

But... How did get up when he's falling down or sleeping?

The large tail could have been used as a counter balance to lift itself up and it would sleep while standing kind of like giraffes or horses sometimes do.
