It looks muddy. Only beginners do it that way lol and it isn't properly blended. I see what you mean about "different style" but it really isn't attractive to look at.

I wouldn't say only beginners per se, more, "only beginners AND self taught artists". Gods know, I painted this way for most of my digital career because I was never taught otherwise.  In some areas, I'm still left recovering from that period of ineptitude.

I'll have to disagree on the self taught artists part. I've seen BEAUTIFUL paintings done by people who taught and studied all on their own.

Not every person who goes to school is gonna come out a Picasso 😂

We will. I just observe it a lot more in self taught people. Everyone schooled has a better chance of gaining it.

I hate Picasso's work lol But anyway there are lighting/perspective/color usage things that come easier when taught than when trying to go it alone. You can learn it but it takes a lot longer
