Mufasa wanted to congratulate his brother for becoming a father. Sarafina had told Sarabi proud about the good news and so the king of the pridelands walked to his brother with good intentions."Ah, my good brother", Mufasa said. "Why didn`t you tell anybody about your future cub? I am so happy to hear that. If only father would be still around to...."
But Scar even didn`t smile. He seemed not to be very happy of becoming a father. He turned his head away from Mufasa and only grumbled "thanks", almost not audible.
Mufasa looked worried at his little brother. "Is anything wrong? You don`t look very happy...."
"I could dance for joy", Scar replied.
"Sarafina seems to be very happy", Mufasa said with questioning eyes.
"She got what she wants." Scar turned his back on Mufasa and walked away.
Mufasa sighed. He wished he could help his little brother, but as long as he didn`t tell him anything about his feelings, Mufasa felt helpless.

No matter how many alternative stories Scar has, I still can't stand him! I can't feel bad for him. Maybe because once someone murders an innocent person for selfish reasons(no good reason), I can't feel bad for them.

Scar is an interesting and sometimes amusing villain with his sarcasm, but that does not excuse the fact that his actions in the movie was WRONG!
He murdered his brother, manipulated the nephew who loved him into believing it was his fault, and allowed the Pridelands to go to waste, yet many fans still view him as a poor tortured little puppy who can be cured with love.
It doesn't work like that.
Like I said, Scar is an interesting villain but his actions should not be excused.

Yeah, I think it can also be applied to all the Outlanders in the comic.
Sure their lives were complete crap, but that doesn't mean it should excuse their actions like Azra mistreating Kovu, Kosa being controlling over Kopa and yelling at Jalia, the triplets murdering some of the parents of the stolen cubs, and it certainly doesn't excuse all of them to have a "It's never our family's fault for our problems, it's the Pridelanders!" mentality when it was mostly their fault.

Same here. I'm always reading peoples' comments going "poor Scar, poor Scar" but I honestly don't think there's any reason to feel sorry for him. Yes, he had it rough in the beginning (at least in this alternate story, can't say canon for sure) but his life is not this awful, 'not fair' circumstance. He could have it much worse, but apparently his life is just 'so terrible' because he wasn't in line to be king. Boo-freaking-hoo, Scar.

Same here. Even though Scar had a rough childhood, that is still no excuse for doing bad things. He didn't deserve to be king at all if he just wanted to be king out of jealousy of his brother.

Ich frage mich ob Mufasa Verständnis für seinen Bruder hätte wenn Scar ihm erzählt, dass er eigentlich in eine andere Löwin verliebt ist. Wäre die Frage, ob man Scar erlaubt hätte Zira zu seiner Partnerin zu nehmen wenn er sie nicht verleugnet hätte und Sarafinas Partner geworden wäre. Ahadi war schliesslich auch einmal ein Ausenseiter und hat ne Chance gekriegt...

wahrscheinlich nicht. Es ist von Scar selbst konstruiertes Problem, dass er nicht sein "Gesicht" vor seinem Bruder verlieren möchte....lieber bringt er ihn vorher um, um zuzugeben, dass er nicht so "perfekt" ist und "schwächen" hat (die ja eigentlich keine sind)...

Wuah du verwirrst mich grad. Also wenn es ein von Scar selbst verursachtes Problem ist, dann wäre deine Antwort, dass Mufasa womöglich Verständnis gehabt hätte wenn ihm Scar frühzeitig von Zira erzählt hätte statt sich auf den Deal mit Sarafina einzulassen, richtig? XD
Und ja, das stimmt natürlich, dass sich Scar viele Probleme selber schafft. ^-^'
