Description
CIS: Perhaps the largest droid army ever assembled, the army of the CIS outnumbered the clone soldiers of the Republic 100 to 1. The CIS put fear in the hearts of countless citizens of the Republic, as few could stand before it for long before being mowed down by blaster fire. The UNSC: The United Nations Space Command is a military government with an army of elite marines and legendary Spartans who have defended the human race from invasions of both the Covenant and the Flood.
Now these two forces shall go to war. Can the UNSC stop the relentless march of the droids? Can the CIS sweep aside the defenders of humanity? Only one side can prevail, and they'll both do anything to win. Soon we'll find out who is...
THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
*(Because I know this will pop up if I say nothing: No space battles. Planet-side only.)
(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).

And yes, the CIS do murderstomp here. Their ships simply have far greater firepower and the advantage in ground combat is not necessarily in the UNSC's favor. And again, ship to ship it's an utter mismatch.

What about the claim that Halo vehicles also have Gigaton levels of firepower? Supposedly, the cannons protecting Earth had a firepower output of about 50 gigatons or so. There any truth to that?

If I recall correctly, the canons protecting Earth actually might have
There definitely is some truth to that.
And for that, Iβd point to Legends Star Wars vehicles having low petaton levels of firepower. And the ICS stuff (I mean I donβt treat it as gospel because itβs Supplementary materialx but still).
Disney Canon Iβm not entirely sure, but it does seem to have a gigaton rating as well (albeit maybe low end).

As for anyone who thinks Smart AIs can even have an effect, the battle droids no longer operate on a central computer. Which means that they cannot be hacked. Astromech droids hack computers all the time, and yet they can't hack battle droids. The only way to hack battle droids is if you find a deactivated batch of them and hard-wire them yourself, like with the kid on Iego who re-wired an entire batch of battle droids to be his manservants.Β

I don't see the UNSC getting that desperate. The Covenant were waging a war of extermination, the CIS would just want territory and/or resources.

Given how primitive the UNSC is relative to them, would that territory be of much use? To get what they want they'd likely have to spend time and resources installing a new infrastructure in what is essentially a backwater sector of a foreign galaxy.

I said that the CIS will narrowly defeat the Covenant due to the fact that while they both have similar energy weapon tech, the CIS can just mass-manufacture troops to replace casualties.
The UNSC, on the other hand, not only cannot mass-manufacture to replace fallen troops, but isn't even in the same tech level as the Covenant and the Confederacy. Add to that Dooku's Sith powers and an infinite supply of droids, as well as superior warships, the UNSC would get wiped out by the CIS. The UNSC didn't even follow through with its Sabre program to create better fighters, whereareas the Confederacy throws fast starfighters armed with torpedoes and energy weapons at you like they were as common as water. Not to mention brilliant strategists like Grievous, Sev'Rance Tann, and Admiral Trench, and you're looking at a bloodbath of epic proportions. I suppose Grievous would just go from hunting Jedi to hunting Spartans. And the former had psychic powers and still lost to him..........

I say it would be a similar battle as the Covenant vs the VID. The UNSC would have to block off planets important to the CIS's construction of Droids, destroy the command ships, and produce weapons and ships at record time speed; and they'd have to do it even faster than the Covenant because of the difference in technology advances. If they can't do all of that in sufficient time, droids defeat the UNSC purely with numerical advantages.

"As for ships, while the OP calls for no space battles, need I remind you that an IG light frigate can melt a 1000 km ice moon with one shot from it's turbolaser?"
OMGosh! This stupid Turbo Blaster argument again. I mean I just got trough with dealing with somebody on this. They claimed a single Star Destroyer can destroy a planet solo in a day and that the only reason they don't is because ALL planets have planet shields(!?!). I brought up tons of examples and even quoted Han Solo as to how that was complete BS, the guy didn't listen to anything I said and in fact mocked me for believing Han. ....You got that from the non-canon Star Wars E.U. didn't you? ....Or are you that guy, stalking me even here. >B(
"Nothing the unsc has anything that comes close"
The UNSC NOVA Bomb trumps anything the CIS have. A single one of these babies atomized a Covenant Fleet, shatter the nearby moon and scorched 2/3s of a planet.

The CIS is part of a space fairing civilisation that existed for 25,000 years and made battle droids for just as long. I highly doubt even a sophisticated AI can hack into the droids by itself. Maybe if you managed to get one aboard a control ship I could conceive it.
A star destroyer can BDZ a planet in an hour, in fact a Acclamator can do the same thing. The Incredible Cross Section books are both written by a qualified astrophysicist and considered acceptable Canon by Lucasfilm. There's no debating out of it. Nore is a random smuggler going to know the tactical capabilities of military hardware. I also find it weird they have this bomb, and they bother to make station sized MAC platforms that can only output ~50 gigatons of energy.

Boy, is cyberthehedgehog270.deviantart⦠a sore loser eh? The bitch blocks you just because he can't face the fucking truth........
Ships in the past of Star Wars can BDZ a planet, and the Death Star was just meant as a terror weapon. Also, the Empire likes to build shit like the Death Star because Palpatine is an egomaniac. He didn't do it because it was logical. He did it because he wanted something that A) can pierce through energy shields that Star Destroyers can't, and B) because he wanted a terror weapon to scare the shit out of his enemies.

YEAH, which is why they have droids that act like this.
Droid 1: Take this down to the lower levels. *Hands Droid 2 a box* And careful not to drop it.
Droid 2: WHOA! *trips on it's own feet and drops the box*
Droid 1: Those E32s aren't the brightest bulbs on the ship.
With 25,000 years behind them you think they would come up with better robots. Heck I've seen the Droids do stupider things then the Grunts from HALO and at least said Grunts can actually still hit their targets.
"A star destroyer can BDZ a planet in an hour"
No. They can't. Let me tell you why. The fanboy I dealt with before you claimed that SDs could do what you claim and that all planets have "planet shields" and that is what keeps the planets safe from Star Destroyers.Β He claimed that the shield is in the outermost layer of a planet's atmosphere... SOOOO, 6200 miles from the planet itself.
NOW. These shields DO NOT PROTECT PLANETS FROM SHIPS. Examples: Invasion of Naboo, Hoth ground forces were deployed and obviously needed a ship to drop them off and pretty much everything else Star Wars. Ships go to and fro from planet to planet without any shield getting in the way, if the shields DID keep ships out there would be no space travel at all. So with this logical argument that only a brain dead fanboy like Chris would ignore, I can safely say that there are no planet shields, or at least ones that defend planets from ships.
Logical options:
1. There are no planet shields. Meaning there is zero defense from "a star destroyer that can BDZ a planet in an hour." Meaning the Death Star was pointless.
2. There are planet shields, but they let ships through, and with 6200 miles of space between the planets and their shields means there is more then enough room for a SD to pass through the shields and then destroy the planets. Again, the Death Star was pointless.
3. There are planet shields and they don't let anything through. All movies, games and books go against this.
4. There are no planet shields and Star Destroyers can not destroy planets. Which means the Death Star actually had a purpose and wasn't completely pointless and an utterly stupid waste of time, money and resources.
Which sounds better to you?
So anyway the Death Star was either completely and utterly pointless and should have been scrapped to use to make more cheaper planet destroying Star Destroyers, or more likely you are just simply wrong about Star Destroyers power levels.
Backing up my claim as to that planets have no defense against ships. A commander asked a captain if they should proceed with orbital bombardment in Star Wars Rebels. Which IS canon let me remind you. I just said that as to drive home the fact that planets have no defense from ships.
THERE. Right between the eyes. Star Destroyers are obviously weaker then you and Chris claim they are or else the Death Star was completely POINTLESS no matter how you slice it. Now if I have to waste another second of my time on anymore Star Wars fanboys that won't listen to a word I say I'm going to beat someone to a pulp.
Goodbye AiarUther. Now try not to be a fanboy like the other guy before you and actually read my reply and let it sink in. B|
P.S. Don't bother to reply. To ensure I don't waste anymore time on this subject matter I have decided to block you, as I know you won't agree with me and will instead try and continue arguing despite the logic of my argument. <=\
So when I said goodbye, I really mean it. Goodbye. I hope you have a nice life. ^_^
