Description
CIS: Perhaps the largest droid army ever assembled, the army of the CIS outnumbered the clone soldiers of the Republic 100 to 1. The CIS put fear in the hearts of countless citizens of the Republic, as few could stand before it for long before being mowed down by blaster fire. The UNSC: The United Nations Space Command is a military government with an army of elite marines and legendary Spartans who have defended the human race from invasions of both the Covenant and the Flood.
Now these two forces shall go to war. Can the UNSC stop the relentless march of the droids? Can the CIS sweep aside the defenders of humanity? Only one side can prevail, and they'll both do anything to win. Soon we'll find out who is...
THE DEADLIEST WARRIOR!
*(Because I know this will pop up if I say nothing: No space battles. Planet-side only.)

Also, blasters are clearly superior to the primitive slug weapons that the UNSC use.

UNSC fought in a small corner of their galaxy. The Covenant did not have the "Largest army in the Universe", otherwise they would've steam rolled the UNSC. The CIS, on the other hand, where fighting across the ENITRE galaxy, on the offensive, with the UNSC constantly on the back peddle.

The USNC were losing the war because the Covenant were much, much more advanced. The advent of the SPARTAN changed the tide of the war, are you saying the SPARTANs pushed the humans military might to equal the Covanants?

“the spartans” helped them lose slower, remember reach? Spartans were present for most of the war.

Any way the covenant main power is their advanced space craft and the “elite” use of them, not their on the ground force which with spartans the UNSC are capable of matching.

The humans won the Human-Covenant War based entirely on the advent of the Spartans (esp. John). Not every battle was won, but the war did end in the humans favor., and that is thanked entirely to the Spartans.

No they didn't. The humans won because the Elites joined them. There were plenty of Spartans at Reach, and the Covenant took it over like it was nothing.

Halo 2: the Covenant start having a civil war and their capitol is invaded by the flood… neither thanks to the spartans
look here ya go:
"The war was instigated by the Covenant, whose Prophets discovered that humans were directly related to theForerunners . In order to keep the Covenant Empire intact, war was declared against humanity. Over the next few decades, the Covenant, with superior firepower and technology, overpowered humanity on dozens of worlds, including heavily defended strongholds such as Reach . Aside from several notable triumphs, the UNSC would only win scattered and costly victories, most of which the Spartan super-soldiers contributed to immensely."

What I was trying to explain is that the spartans helped the UNSC massively yes, but they did not shift the balance they were still losing despite the spartans. Outside forces crippled the covenant which caused the cease fire and following peace were the covenant not to have a civil war or have their capitol invaded by flood then the UNSC would have perished.
But getting back to the point of this I agree and believe the spartans would win it for the UNSC vs CIS on a planet battle even when outnumbered.

Better then UNSC and Covenant, yes, but the rest of halo, NOOOO. Forunners curbstomp the CIS/Republic/Empire combined with minimal effort, a single fleet would be more then enough to put them back in the stone age.

The UNSC apparently has 440mm Artillery batteries.
halo.wikia.com/wiki/440_mm_Hea…
A strait up gun fight can result in a UNSC victory. Fix machine gunners, artillery(maybe). WWI all over again. Droids have terrible aim, are slow and they slowly march towards their enemies. Easy exploit. They do have more fire power tho and if theirs ships above than no way the UNSC could win. Unless they are using forerunner tech, with forerunner grade shields and weapons, then their wont a need for a ground battle, other then clean up.

Blasters are far superior to UNSC weapons, I doubt anything but heavy weapons could even hurt a droid.

Considering that bullets are still in use in Star Wars setting, I'd say its highly likely that bullet can hurt a droid. And I do not think that video is meant to be taken seriously, as all they really do is shot bullets and then compare it to special effects,....does that really mean that "blaster is stronger"?
If you go by the "anything but heavy weapons could even hurt a droid" logic, then soldiers in halo 4 wouldn't have been able to defeat forerunners, they are very much like a droid after all,...well they are better then droids.

If you look at Admiral Piet's channel, you'll see plenty of examples of weapons firepower. There's no question, blasters are at least in the megajoule range.
Also projectile weapons are reduced to either specialist assassin weapons, backwater defence weapons, or ordnance delivery systems. Most of them are also more sophisticated than UNSC weapons (most being magnetically fired.) The UNSC is outnumbered and out gunned hopelessly.

Clearly the UNSC had the writer looking after them.
And I've actually read the article, nothing about slug rifles being used in actual military conflicts as a standard weapon. As far as I see, they're used by specialists or by backwaters like hunters, farmers, and native savages. It's telling when magnetically accelerated slug throwers (probably considered rather sophisticated by UNSC standards) are relegated to back waters. Today, some special forces use crossbows in stealth operations, but they're clearly too obsolete for modern warfare as a standard weapon.
The UNSC is outnumbered, and out gunned by an insane margin.

HI, the owner of this account told me of this death battle and i would like to explain to why the halo side would win. i am the friend of the owner of this account so this is not his actual oppinoin, so master chief, in all of his spartan fury would take take a storm trooper and kill him. he would use the corpse of that storm trooper, to beat another strom trooper to death. he would then tie the magled arms together to form storm throoper nunchakus! after slaughtering hundereds of storm troopers and droids he would then use a gravity hammer to make them into a a charged magnetic ball which essentially will become a katamari of death and carage. after a few hours of rolling up the entire death star he will eventually lift the giant death ball of mangled parts and corpses, he would proceed to put his metal enhanced spartan dick

into the mass and make it into a flail, which he would then bludgeon vader to death with it . after he finishs off vader with the massive katamari ball. he would then take on dark lord sidius and after force lightning fails and only charges his armor, chief would then smash sidith until he is litterally dust. he would then piolt the massive ball into thehole in the death star and explode it. chief then safely fall to earth unharmed.

Numbers and better weapons don't always win a battle. A smaller force with INFERIOR weapons could be victorious if they play it smart... such as use the terrain to their advantage, use hit and fade/run tactics, attacking flanks, etc.

Not with the weapons disparity the UNSC has, their slug weapons would probably be useless against droids who actively fight in battles where megajoule level blasters are being used.

Just because something has better punch than something else doesn't mean it's better as blasters can't be silenced and they ALWAYS give away your position unlike oh say an projectile weapon plus besides projectile weapons make better artillery due to being able to fire over obstacles as well as having an area of effect and are better psychological weapons. and can be less complex.

AiarUther In reply to battlecruiser006 [2015-10-30 06:06:10 +0000 UTC]
What it does mean that these droids need to survive in an environment that requires megajoule level fire power. That means competitively less powerful projectiles will have very little effect against B1s let alone B2s. When you need heavy weapons to take down your enemy's most basic soldier, you're not doing very well.
As for artillery, we've already seen the CIS use sophisticated missiles to deal with enemies outside line of sight.
When it comes to psychology, I'm not sure what will be more frightening than armies of emotionless droids armed with weapons that can flash burn right through someone's flesh. I'm not sure you'd need many burning bodies before the smell of their friends makes UNSC soldiers want to give up.

You know heavy weapons include machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars, RPGs, flamethrowers, anti-tank weapons and/or other portable crew served weapons.
The UNSC use howitzers, missiles and rockets.
As for the burning flesh making soldiers want to give up I will remind that happens a lot in warfare and if anything it makes people want fight even more.

Well, droids could not even perform well against Clone troops, and the UNSC seems a bit more well trained. They are elite troops, the Droids may have the numbers and the firepower, but in training, they are lacking. Coordination as well. Hence why even a small number of Clone troops could wipe out entire battalions of them.
