Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals.

Rogue: One of the most famous members of the X-Men, Rogue's powers have always been a curse to her, preventing her from ever really getting close to anyone. But despite this, she has done her best to yes her powers, not for self gain, but for the betterment of human and mutant kind as a whole.

Spawn: Former government hitman, Spawn is a demonically empowered super-solider fighting the powers of heaven and hell alike. He has battled devils, and toppled gods. With magic limited only to his imagination, there are few who can match Spawn in battle.

Now these two warriors will meet in the arena. Will Rogue's abilities be enough to take down this hitman from hell? Will Spawn's powers let him get the edge on this lethal mutant? Only time will tell as both sides give everything they've got to become...

Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.
