UNSC: The United Nations Space Command is a military government with an army of elite marines and legendary Spartans who have defended the human race from invasions of both the Covenant and the Flood. No matter how unnumbered or outmatched, the forces of the UNSC have safeguarded mankind against total annihilation.Reapers: These massive constructs exist to harvest the galaxy's sentient life in a repeating cycle of purges that has continued relentlessly over countless millennia. They have committed this genocide several times, and through the devious process of Indoctrination, also fight with the help of the Collectors, the Heretic Geth, and fanatical Cerberus organization.
Now, here's the scenario: Instead of the Mass Effect world, the Reapers are coming to Halo. Will the force that battled the Covenant and the Flood be able to withstand the Reapers? I don't know. However, I do know that i the past, I have been accused of being 'unfair' to the UNSC, of trolling, or just plain hating the Halo series, none of which is true of course. So here's what I'll do, I'll give you choices for how to view this match:
1) Basic: Nothing changes. Both sides on a neutral planet, 1 Million starting numbers (w/reinforcements based on the factions ability to supply them) and they duke it out.
2) Home Field Advantage: Pick a planet with a high UNSC presence, and the battle can take place there. Reapers still get 1 Million.
3) Double to Nothing: 2 Million UNSC to 1 Million Reaper Forces, Neutral Planet
4) Pick A Faction: Neutral Planet, 1 Million Each, with UNSC facing off against any ONE of the races that make up the Reapers: Geth, Collectors, Cerberus, Or the Husks
Now then, let the debating begin!

The UNSC is the better in terms of special forces and ground to ship capability but the Reapers will undoubtedly win the attrition war and if they have Reapers that have landed, they'll just stomp around and blast every standing structure with people in it until it's over. The Reapers are basically endless after all. They can just keep flying in more and more and more reinforcements, and if that's not working, they can just convert captured soldiers into more Reaper forces. Not to mention indoctrination slowly driving the UNSC mad or to the Reapers' side. As previously stated, the UNSC knows how to fight this kind of fight, but they'll lose in the end from attrition, which the Reapers are perfectly fine fighting a war of.

I give the victory to the UNSC because the MAC of the frigate are more powerfull than a dreadnought's MAC of mass effect. And the frigate of UNSC can fly in athmosphere !

so, that's a yes to tungsten rods? because I saw G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The tungsten rods are released from space, but gravity does the rest.

I'm thinking the UNSC on this one... Their tech isn't reliant upon Mass Relays, and they have Spartans who are the betters of Spectres any day. Also, I'm fairly sure a MAC can generate much more power than the ME universe's dreadnoughts could.

As long as Reapers do not have access to there own ships (or atleast a very few of them) the Spartans would be capable of waging war but it is simply a matter of attrition as shown with the covenant.

They've faced the Covenant, Flood, and Forerunners: a feat immeasurable to what Commander Shepard and company's been capable of.
Still waiting on someone to make UNSC Spartans VS Warhammer 40K Space Marines.

though I'm think I'm going with the reapers, the UNSC dont have the best luck in these fights

USNC. Just with the "basic" scenario, and going with 400 SPARTANS, the USNC would slaughter the Reapers. A lot of this battle would rest on the Spartans, admittedly.

Judging from the games, i would say a battle would go like these the reapers would kill all the red shirts in the UNSC but then get their butt hand to them by the Spartans and the few marines who are not, you know, red shirts.

Let's say 400 (a mix of Spartan IIs and IIIs)
The UNSC when they were at their absolute strongest.

So 33 Spartan II's (If you don't count the MIA and KIA) and over 300 SIII's (their were about 900SIII or so IIRC, but 300 was total alive at a given point again, IIRC) in SPI armor? Gamma company can solo on the ground. Well that until a reapers say "fuck it, orbital bombardment".
Do the collectors count as reaper force's? If so the UNSC may not have the firepower on the ground to counter. Does the UNSC get air support with low yield furry and havok nuke payloads, 450mm Artillery (Ghost of Onyx IIRC) and armored vehicles? If so the UNSC can probably stomp by just nuking the enemy. Thats what the SII's did during the human covenant war.
Final question, does this versus include naval warfare? Who ever controls the sky(orbit) controls the planet.
If this includes naval warfare, then its only post war thech that can stand a chance in a battle or it will just play out like the a hc war with reapers never to probably taking years to find a single human planet. No relays presumably.

UNSC would probably not want to carpet nuke the planet, no. Some maybe, but I don't think they could realistically spam that.
Ships are any that are regularly used in atmospheric conditions.

so I can asume that they also have a number of Spartan IVs, and going by that, I'm going with UNSC,....I asume that they would have accses to Infinity on the surface of the planet (they done it before so why not) and the orbital support fire (aka MACs from space)
