waiiit all the time people were posing the doll like in the last picture there were using the WHOLE TIME A DOLL STAND? I have made a doll (Steel the bunny) that i tried to pose like that and it succeed ...sort of (it sat like that 1 minute while in this time i was searching my camera).All this work and frustration....my whole life is a lie...

No, people position dolls without the dollstands often. I take my self-made dollstand in cases I know that he surface would be askew, or the weather is windy, etc. I don't want to ruin my doll's makeup or to break something.

But it's always better to secure the doll, especially if it's a huge SD or 70+.

Thanks, I needed this. my boy has hooves and he is a deer, so he will need to be in the forest a lot. will this work for an MSD? do I just make the top part lower?

I'm going to make one this weekend, probably using that all-time favorite material, DUCT TAPE to fasten the loop to the skewer. Or a jeweler's wire wrap if I'm feeling very industrious.

I've noticed that lots of Sephiroth dolls have that sort of sass XD He's the Diva of FF7 but I'm sure Kuja could give him a run for his money in a Walk-Off

This is awesome, do you have by chance any tutorial showing how to do the Sephiroth armor parts and sword?, I've made my own but I'm not very convinced about them, and yours look spectacular!

I plan to compose a tutorial on makinf non-flat armor in the future. I'll show how to do the leather armor, there is a main hint that helps working with Apoxie too.
Tutorial on Masamune is much harder to do, just because it reqiures factory lathe. I seriously doubt that many BJD cosplayers have an access to such equipment. I feel this is a kind of cheating from my side 'cause not everybody can follow my way...
But if you'd like I can make a journal entry describing the process.

I'm more concern on the shoulder parts, that par of the armor it looks awesome, I had my share of customization too, I'm not concern about the black leather part but mostly with the armor, I was going to replicate it on resin but I wasn't sure how wold get...

The shoulderplates are sculpted out of 2-part epoxy putty called Apoxie Sculpt. I will post an entry on making them too
