So, yeah. This was supposed to be my Halloween pic, but funny thing. I thought I lost it. See, I have all of my WIP pics on this little side-table by my computer. They sit on my books there. This one just up and disappeared before I could scan it.
Turns out, someone moved it, putting it inside the side-table for reasons unknown.
Whatever, here it is. Late, but still.
Eyes are blue because, fuck. Red is evil and yellow is sickly, but blue like that is incredibly otherworldly.

So that's where that quote originated... Always wondered how the Japanese came up with it.
It's a manga/anime by the name of Princess Resurrection. Which, despite it's rather morbid story (a guy gets crushed by a stack of I-beams and is then resurrected to serve as the slave to on of the Princess' of monsters) it's very funny. And gory. Hiro(the slave/zombie thing called a Blood Warrior) regularly loses his limbs. And the Princess has a single hand chainsaw.
And that is more then you ever wanted to know about that.

Well, I hope you enjoy it. I personally prefer the manga, though some Japanese conventions in SFX are confusing (i.e. HIHIHIHIHI! being high-pitched laughter)
But if you don't mind waiting for things to happen at the pace they want, watch the anime. Supposedly much better.

I thought this was a late request from Kaijulord at first lol. So you had this hidden somewhere all along? Shame, it would have made an excellent halloween pic. I like your reasoning for the eye color. I've seen him with purple eyes too which I've seen used for psychics and dubious supernatural practices in other works like with MTG card art. Red glow generally just means pure undaltered RAGE that knows no distinction of morality, its the berserker eye color when its intense and got the white inner glow. Opaque red glow though is evil or at least sinister. Wispy yellow is sickly, I see it with undead quite a bit and other mutations. It flicks back and forth depending on the intensity as solid yellow with pupils is predatory and strongly saturated yellow glow is usually seen as holy, light, or simply divine in nature.
Blue though was the right call in this case. A creature beyond morality whose mind is deeper than the deepest ocean trenches and whose churning tendrils ensnare and drive those who chance across the merest glimmer of its presence to madness. That is something very 'blue' in personality.

This is awesome Scatha! On this subject, Barnes and Noble is selling a complete Lovecraft collection in a single book (its like 5 pounds lol)! Its only $20 and its so worth it lol. I also have both Jurassic Park novels in a single volume from them, both are worth checking out if you have a Barnes nearby lol.
