Wewt! Eet is finished, though it's mostly made up of sketches, but I dun't care. It's DONE.
1. Pretty self-explanitory really. ;D
2. I don't have much of a favorite quote of Jet's, but he's just a barrel of monkeys when it comes to his fantastic culinary ability, so I'll leave it at that.
3. Aside from Chang having a cooking talent, Jet has a talent in music!
Despite not seeing the untranslated manga (yet!), I did get wind that he is seen playing a guitar. Now I don't know what the cyborgs think of his ability so I'll leave it blank.4. I got reaaaaally lazy with drawing the other cyborgs, so I just drew Joe, Fran, and the ever-jealous Jet. Poor Jet, his speedo isn't garnering him any points (well at least not from Fran anyway).
(btw I just realized that I never added Jet's eyes in this one, but only because when he's angry his eyes are not visibly seen this way)
Also from the way I drew Jet it reminds me of something would draw. ;3
5. I had fun with this scene. But rather Black Ghost destroy the cyborgs, he decides to humiliate them instead, and he decides to get them when they're the most inebriated. G.B. on the other hand has the upper hand---or flipper in this case. C;
6. Fran and Joe, obviously. The pic speaks for itself.
(btw Fran is covered, but I dunno whether I should mark this as mature or not, since there's no intentional hanky panky happening)
7. I think Jet would LOVE to have Al's powers, considering he was the ringleader of a seedy Bronx gang. Just imagine what he'd be like with the powers WHILE he was still a gangleader.
Oh poor Al, he has yet to study those flight maneuvers! He's actually spiraling downward just so you know. Jet's boosters are forced to be reckoned with!
8. Blonde Joe is actually really cool! I like his racing outfit. The car though, was interesting to draw, considering that I'm actually really bad at drawing cars.
9. Pretty self-explanatory, but I did notice Chang gets really hungry at really random times, so why not have his breath come in handy?
10. This was actually pretty funny! Since Jet is the only one with any ability closely relevant to music, why not make him sing? Of course egging him into it (and even so far as to tricking him into drinking) has some pretty nasty side effects.
Btw it's a nod to my friend Tiffany's (aka ) Cyborg art [link] and it inspired me to make one of my own!
11. PONIES!!!! I'm a brony now, I bet Jet might be too.
And YES, Jet can walk on clouds. CX

~True, GB would have the voice since he's a master thespian and all (it wasn't really stated on whether or not he can emulate other ppl's voices other than Black Ghost's), but the problem was figuring out what he would sing and how he'd look singing it. But Jet, I wanted to see him do something hilarious during karaoke night. XD He's a grouch at times, especially when being made to do things he doesn't want to do, but maybe a little liquor might loosen him up a bit.
If it were the gong show, I bet it would've been different... CX (I know, I've actually done that at Fanime this year)

I do too, actually! That's why I like eps 18 and 19 of the 2001 series because you're getting to know the characters as people rather than just superheroes. One deviant here was saying that she liked my art because of the placidness I place the characters in, and I was telling her it was because as much as I do like drawing cyborgs in action, it's sorta been done a lot, so why not have them do something everyday instead?
You went to a con and participated in a game show? That's awesome! Was it a gong show or a (singing) contest of some sort? Spill the beans of a con you went to, Biscy!

actually they are rereleasing it in Japan, so there will be fresh volumes on the market. I don't know where to buy it online though.

The host asks something about "what is the thing you think of when I say XXXXX?" Then everyone thinks. The two guests say their choice, and we see how many of the famous folks match up with and you win. XD Though, I did not win. XD

Anime Expo and Fanime are the money-melons of anime cons here (and possibly Comic-Con if you don't mind the nerd smell). Part of me maybe wants to see ACEN (since I have been going to Fanime since 2004) this next year, but I just hope to get my funds together. But I would eventually love to meet you and one of my other friends who goes there!

I like drawing him in a way that utilizes a combination of the 2001 style and his personality from the original manga (he has a likable disposition and is shown to be a little more good-natured than the anime counterpart).
You know what? I never thought of what to give Joe in terms of a speedo or shorts. Hmmm..Joe in speedos...
Ah, it's no problem at all if you dun't like the 93 pairing; although it's not everyday you see fanart of Joe looking...well..taken like that.

If you ever read the manga, you would notice that for Jet, despite having done something dark prior to being intercepted by Black Ghost, actually has a very pleasant and sweet demeanor in the series (though at times he sounds like a closet beatnik). So I wanted to draw him in a way that reflects his personality better in the original manga. ;]
His nose isn't too bad as long as you practice drawing it. the secret is drawing in quick, brisk strokes. C:

Jet might've wiped out the Sharks if he were to cross paths with them or if they invaded his turf of the sort. But I think he would use them more in self defense than for just killing other gang members. C: He may have been a hood, but not like a hardened criminal or anything. ;]

5. I knew Black Ghost was evil but this is the pinnacle of his dark plans. I like >=3. I see 007 is prepared as ever XD.

8. I never liked any other version of Joe besides the 2001 but now I almost like 1979 Joe just as much. I seriously cannot decide between the two. Gaaahhh it's too hard to choose! 1979 Joe is certainly one cool guy though. He drives a race car so he has my vote

Jet is very cocky, hence the reason he likes wearing his speedo, especially if it's well, kinda revealling. D: It's alright though, the Brazillian look is in this season. CX
Black Ghost would want the cyborgs to die as they would be humiliated, but too bad he didn't actually kill them, just their dignity. ;> But G.B.? Lemme tell you one thing I love about GB, he's a brilliant actor and strategist. Every ep you see him doing something cunning or clever. 
Joe and Fran are a natural pairing. In the 70s version, they actually sleep side by side to each other. 
2001 Joe is actually pretty quaint (I love him in a plain navy t-shirt that he wears later in the series), and the fact he was raised by a priest in a church---so the opposite of his original storyline

Well Chang, for someone who always brings lunch wherever he goes, seemingly has a craving for a fresh catch. People in New Zealand who are recreational fishers do this too. ;D
Yeah, not a good idea to make someone so drunk that they wind up embarrassing you as well. But the only time to ever get drunk before a singing contest is during the gong show--one where the top prize goes to the worst performer. I did that at Fanime this year, and it worked (had a lemonade gin drink and got SMASHED).

There is a flaw in BG's evil plan. While he may kill everyone's dignity he failed to realize that GB doesn't have any. He was born without dignity. But who said that it was a disadvantage XD. *Just realized that GB is BG backwards...* Yes, definitely one of the best GB moments ever. I showed a screen-shot of that to my friend and she was WTF. I then had to explain it to her and she laughed. In fact whenever I say "what happened to your face?" we both burst out laughing. GB is the best comic relief character ever I have decided.
Joe and Franny sleep next to each other 
I like all of 2001 Joe's outfits actually. They suit his character well. Hey that's one thing I like about C009; their clothes change throuhout the series unlike most other anime. It makes it seem more natural or realistic if you'd call it that. There are definitely some differences in character between the versions. 2001 seems to me like an actual 18 year old yet 1979 feels older. I like 2001 for his (over)-caring gentle personality and I like 1979 for his, like you said, 'strong-will'. The more I think about it the more I fell like I'm getting no where with deciding which I prefer. Is it too much to ask for both. Are you talking about the 1979 Joe? I think that's just the way he talks. I never noticed the short of breath thing. If anything I like it X3.
He does seem to take food with them everywhere. The first episode when the Greek God cyborgs were introduced is a good example. They must keep an emergency barbie(BBQ) in the Dolphin all the time XD.Urhh now I'm thinking about fish *stomach girgles*. I will do almost anything for fish... and bubble wrap. Aww I would have loved to go with you to the Fanime! Just you wait till I save enough money and get a passport. I'll crash at your house XD. Can't say I've ever taken a friend to party where they've gotten so drunk as to embarrass me. Everyone else is normally just as pissed too. I'm normally the only sober one there. I enjoy being sober though because you will actually remember all the stupid things that others do. Besides I can just get the same effect out of a can of soda (<--- GB reference there ;D). Seriously... give me straight red cordial or anything with artificial coloring and I'll start bouncing off walls. When I was young I had difficulty sleeping until my parents worked out I was having a hyperactive reaction to certain colour additives. It doesn't effect me as much now except for in large doses. Sleep deprivation will also send me into hysterics. I remember staying awake for about 27 hours straight for a fund raising walk relay and a friend and me sprawled ourselves over the track dying from laughter for no reason at all.

It's another C009 mystery. I have a list of compiled mysteries. I've always wondered that too hence why I put it in the meme. I was hoping people smarter or more creative than me would have the answer. Actually if any of them had to go through the new body scanners they wouldn't pass.

I do have to agree on the clothes they wear that vary throughout the series. Jet's an 18-year-old, so he's wearing clothes suitable for his age; while Jet is actually 21 in the 70s series, so he dresses more maturely. Joe is the same way, though he's 18 he dresses like a down-to-earth intellectual (think college student). I do like some of 70's Joe's clothes, particularly the one where he dons a white jacket---very 70s-like. C: *and yes, he's the one short on breath* CX
Dude, if you ever come to California during memorial day weekend, definately do Fanime with us! My only worry though is that they don't have much Cyborg 009 merchandise since I went and cleaned the place of it (my fault I got into the series late!).

You know, I think when Gilmore was with Black Ghost at the time he designed the suits to that they would be friction and fire resistant, but ironically, not gastric acid resistant. The blue suits they have in the Fluttering Australia ep (2nd OVA), probably had that upgraded feature.;]

Well if I have any chance to travel overseas in the near future it will probably be in the next 6 to 12 months. Fanime here I come! I just need to make my costume and I'll be all ready. I was thinking of cosplaying as BG but without the helmet (helmet will be too hard to do). Capes are so much fun X3. I wouldn't expect any less of you than to clean them out of C009 merchandise. With a fan such as you I don't think they would ever lose profit XD. We can buy all the merchandise together.

Why did they even name the second OVA Fluttering Australia anyway. Does AUS have a double meaning or something... Like I know BG had a base in central AUS but that's no connection at all. Its got me stumped.
Jet has no dignity left ever since he was discovered by fan-girls XD. Oh yes the balloons. That is worse than balloons.
I think Gilmore aquired a massive stash of them before he officially betrayed the Organization. I also imagine he would have been paid quite well as one of their top scientists so he could always buy the material to make more.
