OMG!It's my first tutorial that I ever submitted! Gosh, I've never done anything like this before. But yeah, it's a tutorial for watercoloring Naruto characters, this one is of the lubbable Gaaras (two actually -to see the finished deviation click here ) I made it as a step-by-step program, very simple to follow. I'm sorry if I didn't add numbers or a background, but I wanted to be blunt and show you all how to color.
To me, I'm not sure if this is how Kishimoto does it, but I hope it's close enough, teh-heh!

although when it comes to brushes quality is better than a low price. less you get fibers falling off the brush and getting stuck on your painting. winsor newton has great brushes you can but individually and they're very good quality and well priced.

I enjoyed the tutorial, and I find some of the consepts to be helpful. ^_^
Now I just need to find a few good brushes.
As for crit: You did a good job overall, but it's difficult to display all of the text and all of the photo in the areas near the beginning.

I know, it was just my first tut that I made, so it's not exactly the most organized or formatted, but I'll work on it soo it look better!

Well, Dylan, I use Grumbacher or Reeves, they're simple sets of watercolors, cuz they're pretty cheap and basic to use (about $3-$7 per tube). Aw man, you know what I forgot to add? Blending medium. They're what makes the pigments look less strokish.
is the coolest watercolorist I know, and her tutorials are reaaaaalllyyy good! Have you sen any of her stuff yet?

Oh, you do the lineart after the paint dries up, so that way, the ink doesn't run and makes the painting all black-ish.

I love ur watercolors, too bad I don't have any to try but this is an awesome tutorial. Lovely shading effect, totally gives that lighting appeal and gives the robes a touch up on texture

There's one one I do wish I had on me, Isis....colored pencils! Cuz it's so much easier to cover some spots with dry medium when you don't want any ink to run all over the page
