But yeah, this comic is set in the bowels of Aperture Science's Enrichment Centre.
Not that I mind, but this scene in the game was incredibly intimidating and immersive and pretty ... right up until the point that the little 'ZOOM' tooltip popped up and pretty much told me where to look. Which led to an alarming telescopic vision game mechanic that you only use once or twice in the entire game. xD
Maybe it's just me, but I thought the entire fun of the game was working out how to traverse the environments without any training wheels.
Don't get me wrong! I LOVED Portal 2, the characters and story development (which go surprisingly deep, considering one of your companions is a robotic eyeball!) But ... seriously ... onscreen indicators Valve? ... Really? Tsk Tsk.
But yeah, this little comic came to mind when I discovered that game mechanic for the first time. It was a lot funnier in my head, which is probably where it should have stayed. But hey, I wanted to do some Portal Fan art that doesn't consist of Wheatley as a horrific human anime-geek.

The only tooltip in the game that really annoys me is the one that goes "E for pull lever". Well, no sh*t, how else would I pull it? Jump on top of it? jk When ever it pops up I just go "Oh you did NOT just tell me how to use things half way through the game." I'm not mad, but yeah, Tsk tsk, Valvey XD Fun comic!

I'm pretty you can disable hints in one of the options menus for the game setup.

1) Thank you for drawing Chell looking her proper age. I keep seeing fanart where she looks 20, and okay, artistic license, but she does have gray hair, guys.
2) I am not allowed to mock the zoom tool because I found P-body in single player with it.
3) Despite point 2 this is SO GREAT. XD The Aperture Science Long Distance Optical Enhancers!

Hah I've been putting it off forever and finally just now started playing it..er.. paused from playing it. My favorite was "Yes, well possible brain damage.. could you say something for me?" *Press the space bar* !! XD I laughed SO hard when I saw that!! Good point though.. I thought it was weird when the zoom tooltip came up.. but didn't think anything of it XD. Now though . . .
