Description

After the Green Ranger’s powers were drained, Zordon decided to create an entirely new power to help the Power Rangers combat Lord Zedd. He secretly teleported Tommy Oliver to a hidden chamber in the Command Center, where they developed the power of the White Ranger. Unlike the Green Ranger, this new power was created under the Light of Goodness, meaning it could never be taken away by the forces of evil. Because of Tommy’s experience, he was the perfect candidate. (MMPR2: White Light)

Tommy fit in well with his new role as leader of the Power Rangers. He went through many events such as the transfer of power to three new Rangers, (MMPR2: The Power Transfer) being turned into a child(MMPR2: Rangers Back in Time) , traveling into the past, and even fought a clone of himself (MMPR2: Return of the Green Ranger). All throughout these Tommy kept a cool head.

The White Tiger powers were lost after Rito Revolto’s surprise attack. Tommy and the other Power Rangers traveled through the Desert of Despair to speak with Ninjor, the original creator of the Power Coins. After some convincing, Ninjor granted him the powers of the White Ninja Ranger and command of the Falconzord. (MMPR3: Ninja Quest)During this time, Tommy would also take command of the White Shogunzord. (MMPR3: Changing of the Zords)

After Master Vile turned back time, Tommy was turned into a child again. (MMPR3: Rangers in Reverse) Billy invented a machine to restore the Rangers to their proper age, but the Ninja Power Coins were destroyed by Goldar before Tommy could use it.(MMPR3: Climb Every Fountain) In order to restore the normal time flow, Tommy ventured to a Native American village in the past to retrieve the Red Zeo subcrystal. Upon solving the puzzle and acquiring said crystal, he returned to the present. (MMPR3: Sowing the Seas of Evil)
