Description

When Jason shouts “Tyrannosaurus”, he morphs into the Red Ranger, the original leader of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Jason was a talented martial artist and taught a class at the Youth Center. His black belt in karate served him well in combat. Jason can be stubborn at times, and is quick to blame himself for losses. Nevertheless, he performed his duties as the Red Ranger with distinction.

When Tommy joined the team as the Green Ranger, he and Jason had difficulty working together. Zordon helped them with this problem by sending them on a mission to recover special weapons needed to defeat the Super Putty Patrollers. They were successful, and as a result, their friendship strengthened considerably. (MMPR1: Gung Ho!)

Jason’s toughest challenge was the guilt he felt when Tommy lost his powers. Lord Zedd tried to take advantage of this by creating magic candles to strip the other Rangers of their powers, but Jason was able to prevent this from happening. (MMPR2: Missing Green) After Tommy was granted the duties of team leader upon becoming the White Ranger, Jason did not object. (MMPR2: White Light)

When Jason was selected to attend the peace conference in Switzerland, Rocky DeSantos was chosen as his successor. (MMPR2: The Power Transfer)
