Description
Rocky DeSantos is the second Mighty Morphin Red Ranger, selected to succeed Jason Lee Scott after the latter went to Switzerland for the Teen World Summit. He was first introduced to the Power Rangers when he was kidnapped by Lord Zedd in an attempt to convert her to the side of evil. This attempt failed, but Rocky learned of the Rangers’ true identities. (MMPR2: The Ninja Encounter)After being sworn to secrecy by Zordon, he helped the Rangers on a few occasions before being asked to assume the duties of the Red Ranger. (MMPR: The Power Transfer)
Rocky is a guy with a big appetite for life (and food) and keeps his energy going by staying active physically. He enjoys working on his karate, running with the guys, playing volleyball, football, snowboarding, even doing splits. Rocky also channeled his energy by becoming a lifeguard. (MMPR2: A Reel Fish Story)

The Red Ranger powers were lost after Rito Revolto’s surprise attack. Rocky and the other Power Rangers traveled through the Desert of Despair to speak with Ninjor, the original creator of the Power Coins. After some convincing, Ninjor granted him the powers of the Red Ninja Ranger and command of the Ape Ninjazord. (MMPR3: Ninja Quest) During this time, Rocky would also take command of the Red Shogunzord. (MMPR3: Changing of the Zords)

After Master Vile turned back time, Rocky was turned into a child again. (MMPR3: Rangers in Reverse) Billy invented a machine to restore the Rangers to their proper age, but the Ninja Power Coins were destroyed by Goldar before Rocky could use it. (MMPR3: Climb Every Fountain) In order to restore the normal time flow, Rocky ventured to Mexico in the past to retrieve the Blue Zeo subcrystal. Upon retrieving said crystal from an active volcano, he returned to the present. (MMPR3: Water You Thinking?)
