The biggest advice I can really give is not to rush into commissions too quickly. It's not really 'easy' money as people think it is, and many dig themselves into holes they can't get out of.
Practice practice practice! Make stuff for yourself and/or friends and test the durability of your work.
I've been working on furry stuff for about 4 years now, and I just started taking small commissions and still do most of my work for friends. I've been sewing for years before starting furry stuff too.
Also you should be your biggest critic! You really can't trust anyone to give honest critique, a lot of people are afraid to critique at all. Anytime someone does give you critique, look it over and see if there is value in what they said. People don't need to know how to make a fursuit to know when one looks bad.

PERFECT. I'm really happy the claws look canine, and not super big like felines. ^^ You did a smash-up job on this!

I'm glad you like. ^.^ I put the larger, rounder claws on to make it more canine. The pawpads I make are somewhat in between the two, only because human hands are a little odd with a straight canine palm.
Anywho, he sent them UPS I guess.
